I always take my out of town guests here for picture perfect moments. The small hike to the falls is short and easy for children. It's gorgeous and rushing. During winter it is normally closed because of the icy conditions. During the summer you can normally watch rock climbers scaling the rock face on the south side of the road.

Just west of downtown and into the front range lies this beautiful trail that takes you to the falls. Spectacular scenery along with a beautiful, majestic drive into the Rockies. After the falls, continue up to Nederland. The drive is drop-dead beautiful. Remember to wear your hiking boots or rugged foot wear, and bring plenty of water. If you are... More

Although the county does its best to restore flood damage this visit had to be off the record for access is closed. Otherwise a gripping spot with the best white noise in the county.

Review a waterfall? Technically, it is a cascade rather than a waterfall. It's actually underwhelming. The drive up Boulder Canyon is better than the Falls.

We were disappointed that the falls were closed due to falling rocks. We loved our drive up the canyon to Nederland and back to Boulder anyway but missed seeing the falls.

I was so sad to drive out to the falls only to find that they are closed. They are apparently a 'rock fall' area and the trail is blocked off. I actually saw a staff member escorting some tourists out due to the fact that the falls were a very dangerous area. The staff member's exact quote was "people have... More

It was raining, so we didn't stay long, but the views were pretty cool. The parking is just shoulder pull-off, so be careful exiting and entering your car.

Still closed but I visited this spot back in 2007 and took some great pictures. I really enjoyed hiking in the short path with my son and sister. Glad I was able to see it when it was open. I made a book on Colorado and was happy that I had pictures of Boulder Falls to include
