This is by far the coolest place to go around boulder. You can take on whatever level of outdoor excitement suites you best. There are rock climbers all over, great trails, and bathrooms. The views are priceless, most bang for your buck in this area. WOW. Only thing I wouldn't suggest is the Little Critters free ranger actives. They are... More

It is fun just to see world class climbers performing tough routes. The granite is billions of years old and the visuals of the canyon are spectacular. There are easier hikes for those not doing the 5.10 climbs.

What a wonderful place to visit the mountains! It is just a few minutes drive from downtown Boulder but a complete Mountain experience...not to be missed!

Went there for a photo shoot and found all kinds of areas with perfect lighting and back drops. There's a beautiful bridge and a cave, and red rock canyons behind you. The best spot is under the bridge on the large boulders in the river. LOVE Eldorado Canyon and take all my guests there. It's $8 USD to get in... More

Although some of it still closed from flood damage from 2013, the Eldorado Canyon had a lot of great hiking, climbing, fishing and camping within. It is an icon of Colorado trekking outside of the Rocky Mountain National Park, inexpensive and easy to access the trail head.

The number of park options in the Denver area is overwhelming. I was of the mindset why pay for a state park that is big and overwhelming if you can do one of the free parks. However, I was glad I gave this a try. While it is a little hard to find driving through the skinny road in Eldorado... More

We enjoy a hike on occasion in this park but the trails still have some closures while they work on the condition. Superb climbing access in this canyon.

Unlike a lot of the hikes around Boulder, Eldorado has awesome hikes that are not difficult. Also, you get amazing view within minutes (not hours) of starting your hike. Loved it.

If you are in Boulder take a 20 minute drive and visit El Dorado Canyon. Fabulous cliffs, which offer great rock climbing activities. Lots a trails with scenic views. But most of all the beautiful cascading waters. Kids and adults alike will have a great time. Hard to believe you are just minutes from civilization. $8 per car, which is... More

We followed the Mesa trail around to Shadow Creek Canyon which lead us back down to the Mesa Trail. It is an enjoyable workout with beautiful vistas. The steady sounds of the crickets, the many butterflies and mountain flowers make the hike special. The sounds of running water at Shadow Creek added to the bucolic experience. It was not very...
