Beautiful Park

Beautiful park. We really enjoyed spending half a day here hiking and making a stop at the visitor center.

We love this small state park which is a short drive from Boulder. Fowler's Trail is an easy hike with beautiful views along the way. Rattlesnake Gulch is more challenging with a steeper grade but is definitely worth doing. You can hike to an old hotel site and the continental divide. It is also fun to watch the experienced climbers... More

Eldorado Springs is just 30 minutes away from downtown Boulder. We went there on Thursday morning, the park was pretty much empty, it felt like you are in a real wilderness. Park entrance is $8.00 per car, they have a really nice picnic area about 5 minutes from the entrance. There is a nice hiking trail that starts right next... More

Hiked rattlesnake gulch on a Saturday morning. Park is about 20 minutes from Boulder. Nice hike (moderately challenging), easy to follow and well maintained. Beatiful views from continental divide overlook and great spots to sit by creek at start of hike. Plenty of parking but take it slow due to close proximity of walls with climbers.

What a spectacular place to visit! This place was gorgeous! Wish I had more time so I could take better advantage of all it had to offer! Bring your swim suit so you can stop at the cute pool house on your way into/out of the park!

We traveled to Flatirons first and it was crowded, hot and a hard hike to get to. But then we went to Eldorado Canyon. What a treat! It was stunningly beautiful, not crowded. Would recommend that you bring a picnic lunch and stay a while. It's very family friendly with wading in the river bed or fishing. There are also... More

Wow was right!!! We were not quite ready for the gravel road but made it more of a wilderness area. We hiked a few of the easier trails, watched people climbing the sides of the mountain (that was amazing!) and could not take our eyes off the water. Very pretty area.

If you like pure rugged beauty with more than the eye can take in, this is the place. I come to the canyon every time I am near Boulder. It is beyond beautiful and very inspiring. From the rock climbing, hiking, the roar of the creek and picnicking in the park it is totally awesome. I recommend this to everyone... More

loved our drive to Eldorado Canyon but once we got there we didn't go in. My 2 year old had fallen asleep and it was at the end of our day and everyone was worn out. From what I could see I was sad to not be able to explore but didn't want to pay the entrance fee without being... More
