This is a small state park just outside of Boulder with excellent hiking. The trails are moderately challenging, with beautiful views. The park is right along Boulder Creek and has picnic tables and grills set up for visitors. You could easily spend a day here hiking the 3 main trails and exploring some of the side trails as well. This was one of the highlights of our trip. The last little bit of road into the canyon needs some improvement, but it's well worth the short trip (8 miles) from Boulder. This was the first time we went to hike here in March. The views are beautiful and the trail we went on was called something like Rattlesnake Trail. The trail was so pretty and not super strenuous. Besides enjoying the views, it was fun watching SO many people climbing the Flatirons from here. Definitely will go back. More
