We visited Eldorado Canyon State Park in September 2014 and found it more spectacular than Rocky Mountain National Park. The hiking trail was flat and easy hiking, even for our 2 year old grandson. The hiking trail feature a spectacular canyon, and the trail afforded views of both the canyon river below and the peaks far above. This is a... More

This is a gorgeous climbing canyon with some nice hikes and a great spring fed pool which is a summer must. The slide is fun for all ages.

We spent a short time in the park taking a short hike but we really enjoyed watching the rock climbers ! The park is still having a lot of damaged areas repaired from the sept 2013 flood. But so close to boulder pack a lunch and go!

My 17-year-old son and I (48) started off for a couple mile hike in the canyon. On our way to the main trail, we saw numerous rock climbers. After hiking about 3.5 miles we decided to go on another trail. In total our hike was 16 miles. The terrain varied from steep inclines and declines to traversing a valley to... More

Just a few short minutes from downtown lies one of nature's most stunning displays of magnificent vistas. There are many rock climbers to watch, luscious water falls, incredible rock formations and trails for every level of ability. We REALLY appreciated the bathrooms! I am so thankful that this was a part of my fabulous trip to Boulder. I'd move here... More

This is by far the coolest place to go around boulder. You can take on whatever level of outdoor excitement suites you best. There are rock climbers all over, great trails, and bathrooms. The views are priceless, most bang for your buck in this area. WOW. Only thing I wouldn't suggest is the Little Critters free ranger actives. They are... More

It is fun just to see world class climbers performing tough routes. The granite is billions of years old and the visuals of the canyon are spectacular. There are easier hikes for those not doing the 5.10 climbs.

Went there for a photo shoot and found all kinds of areas with perfect lighting and back drops. There's a beautiful bridge and a cave, and red rock canyons behind you. The best spot is under the bridge on the large boulders in the river. LOVE Eldorado Canyon and take all my guests there. It's $8 USD to get in... More

Although some of it still closed from flood damage from 2013, the Eldorado Canyon had a lot of great hiking, climbing, fishing and camping within. It is an icon of Colorado trekking outside of the Rocky Mountain National Park, inexpensive and easy to access the trail head.
