We opted for this park because of the handicap access. Ive had recent knee surgery and hiking really isnt in my vocab right now. I was still able to enjoy walking along some flat trails and enjoy the beauty of Colorado. There were many people there climbing the rocks and it was amazing to watch. Crazy to conceive in my... My hubby and I brought the dog for a morning hikes the first one that we went on was pretty rigorous, stream trail, up the side of the mountain. The next, fowler trail, was much easier and just as scenic. There were rock climbers there but we did not see any climbing. Beautiful park!

Went out to Eldorado Canyon on a clear & crisp July afternoon. Didn't know what to expect, but it's quite beautiful. We love hiking and there are great views all along the trails. Lots of switchbacks on the trails we took, but that's just part of significant elevation gains. Beyond the hiking, just sitting back and watching the climbers scale... More

This state park charges an $8 per car entry fee, but it's well worth it. My husband and I enjoyed the day watching mountain climbers scale the sheer canyon walls. Hiking was a bit too rough for our abilities and we didn't swim. Most interesting was the exhibit in the ranger station explaining for novices like us how mountain climbers... More

Beautiful park close in. Very friendly park ranger and nicely kept up. We weren't able to hike the trails but looked awesome

Visited this park this patk with my 2 kids ages 7 and 10. We started our visit by hiking the Fowler trail, a very easy trail with breathtaking views of the canyon. Then we drove to the visitors center on the opposite end of Eldorado Springs to use the bathroom and fill our water bottles. There is a nice picnic... More

Gorgeous , beautiful water , canyon. Great hiking. One trail is level and easy with gorgeous views. Lots of rock climbers. You have to pay to get into the state park, but can hike a trail just outside the park if you don't want to pay. Parking can be tough to find, it can be crowded but worth it. The... More

We visited on a Friday afternoon and virtually had this place to ourselves!! The hard-packed dirt road was a little challenging to navigate but definitely worth it. We enjoyed watching the climbers scaling the rocks, feeling the breeze from the waterfall and taking loads of photos. We took the Rattlesnake Gulch Trail (not for the faint of heart because of... The river that flows through the canyon is beautiful, and the mountains are amazing. The Eldorado Trail we hiked was exhausting, but so worth it! I would definitely suggest anyone visits this landmark while visiting in Colorado. It's a great place to see what Colorado really has to offer. I can't wait to visit again!

It's not far from Boulder and a highlight of our trip. The dirt road that leads to the entrance can be deceiving. It looks like you are in the wrong place, but you're not. Beautiful views of the mountains and mountain climbers are your reward!
