One day, in the afternoon of October, we went to Eldorado Canyon. An interesting way that passes near the houses built on the water. The flow was weak in all the site was closed, but the atmosphere was very nice. We walked up the path and suddenly we saw a very long train traveling on the hillside opposite. Sunset was... More

Awesome views of the canyon but it was more of a challenging vertical scramble than relaxing hike. A must see for rock climbers.

If you can survive the horrible dirt road with holes and bumps, you will be rewarded with views of a beautiful canyon and creek with spectacular sights around every corner. There is a very nice Visitor's Center (Eldorado Canyon State Park) at the end of the road where many of the trails begin. Parking is very limited at some of... More

Incredible views on hiking trails for all levels. Watching the rock climbers was amazing as I sat on a rock listening to the babbling brook.

Yea! Here to climb what more could you ask for! Lots of hiking and spectating to be had as well. Road in lacked a bit of maintenance but the views are epic.

This hike was well worth it. The views all along the way were spectacular and the climb was not too bad. Note though that you should park all the way up at the visitor center. We parked right inside the park entrance and that added about an extra 3/4 mile hike up to the trail start. It is a windy... More

One of the best places to go rock climbing and hiking lots of diversity and picturesque views. Like Mikey mouse mountain epic crags and old railroad grades.

We hike here several times a year. The canyon is one of the premier rock climbing places in the USA. It's pretty neat to watch the climbers. There are telescopes in a couple of places. One can access the park through the main gate & pay a fee to enter. It's a nice uphill climb to the main trail from... More

Park outside the canyon and walk in to see all the climbers on the walls of the canyon. Also, the Eldorado Springs has a natural springs hot pool if you care to try it. Hiking paths maintained by the county abound.

Canyon setting right outside of "metro" area. Fun to watch the rock climbers (ice climbers in winter). Nice day hikes...great place for a picnic. A must see for visitors.
