Our excellent walking tours are #1 on TripAdvisor for a reason -- we explore Boulder's best places, by foot, and with knowledgeable and passionate guides! 1) Downtown's "Best of Boulder": An award-winning walking tour described as ".... a gem not to be missed!" Fun and fact-filled stroll through vibrant downtown Boulder bringing together history, architecture, people & planning. Join us as we wander the colorful and historic Pearl Street Mall and neighboring areas in a celebration of this incredible community! 2) Chautauqua ~ Living History: Emerging from a cultural movement of the late 19th century, the Chautauqua continues, through simplicity and a wide variety of cultural offerings, to exemplify its original ideals: lifelong learning, love of nature, music & the arts. This delightful tour is narrated with historic photographs that bring the landmark to life.Birds & Bees: Naturalist-Guided Hikes: Our guides are professional naturalists with years of experience guiding hikes in Boulder's Open Space and Mountain Parks. Explore the flora and fauna of the Rocky Mountain foothills -- small groups guaranteed to ensure personalized attention! 3) CU Boulder: A Learning Landmark: This fun and informative stroll through the award-winning CU-Boulder campus offers a thorough exploration of today's dynamic university, but rooted in background from yesteryear. The first building, opened in 1876, sat atop a donated, treeless bluff, its bell tower ringing the vision that spurred "Old Main" and, indeed, the town of Boulder itself. Since then, the campus has expanded in significance ~ architecturally, intellectually, and civically. Come wander, and wonder, with us! « less

Met guide near Boulderado Hotel, which was a great historic site. Guide was friendly and talkative. We felt very comfortable with asking questions and listening to the many stories about Boulder she shared with us.. Would recommend this tour to everyone who visits Boulder.

We had great advice from a friend to take a walking tour when we arrived in Boulder. Are we ever glad we listened. Lori was a fabulous guide, informative, friendly, engaging, and mindful of finding us Shade on a warm morning. How considerate is that! In 90 minutes we learned about the history of Boulder taking it to present day.... More

We so enjoyed our walking tour of Boulder Chatauqua. Kent is the best tour guide EVER - knowledgeable, enthusiastic about the subject, and entertaining. The 90 minute tour could not have been better or more interesting. Thanks so much. We learned a lot about a simply fascinating subject and place. Chatauqua: yet another Colorado gem!

If you've never been to Boulder—or don't know much about its history—this is a great intro. Boulder's downtown is relatively small and very walkable, so it lends itself to this kind of tour. Our guide was great, very informative and friendly. Just a couple of suggestions for travelers: Bring plenty of water, and be aware that you'll be standing for... More

Kent was a laid back guide with plenty of knowledge of Boulder's past and present. The tour took us through downtown Boulder with stops at the historic Boulderado Hotel, town hall, a famous tea house, to mention a few. I epecially liked the Native American history of the Arapaho (sp?). A great two hours to learn about Boulder if you're... More

I have a second home in Boulder and took my first Boulder Downtown Walking Tour this summer when one of my out of town friends visited. It was so interesting and fun that I took another downtown tour when another of my friends visited a few weeks later. I had two different guides and they were both informative about history,... More

Go walk about in this delightful pedestrian mall. Explore shops and galleries. See street performers. Have a bite to eat. A great little break for the tourist.

I have especially hiked into the Chautauqua Natural Park - a quiet and a 5700 feet high tracking opportunity. It is best to take hiking rather soon in the morning because heat and dry air are really giving a hard time for non trained persons. Further I have visited the center of Boulder which is a pleasant thing to do.

Although this was our second trip to Boulder, it was an interesting and informative tour of downtown Boulder regarding the history of the town and its various buildings. We did a 10 a.m. tour (in case it rained in the afternoon) and it was a beautiful day for walking. We started outside of the Boulderado Hotel (this is the bathroom... More
