Description: Not at all hokey but still super fun and also informative -- what could be...
Not at all hokey but still super fun and also informative -- what could be better?!! Our excellent walking tours are #1 on TripAdvisor for a reason -- we explore Boulder's best places, by foot, and with knowledgeable and passionate guides! 1) Downtown's "Best of Boulder": An award-winning walking tour described as ".... a gem not to be missed!" Fun and fact-filled stroll through vibrant downtown Boulder bringing together history, architecture, people & planning. Join us as we wander the colorful and historic Pearl Street Mall and neighboring areas in a celebration of this incredible community! 2) Chautauqua ~ Living History: Emerging from a cultural movement of the late 19th century, the Chautauqua continues, through simplicity and a wide variety of cultural offerings, to exemplify its original ideals: lifelong learning, love of nature, music & the arts. This delightful tour is narrated with historic photographs that bring the landmark to life.Birds & Bees: Naturalist-Guided Hikes: Our guides are professional naturalists with years of experience guiding hikes in Boulder's Open Space and Mountain Parks. Explore the flora and fauna of the Rocky Mountain foothills -- small groups guaranteed to ensure personalized attention! 3) CU Boulder: A Learning Landmark: This fun and informative stroll through the award-winning CU-Boulder campus offers a thorough exploration of today's dynamic university, but rooted in background from yesteryear. The first building, opened in 1876, sat atop a donated, treeless bluff, its bell tower ringing the vision that spurred "Old Main" and, indeed, the town of Boulder itself. Since then, the campus has expanded in significance ~ architecturally, intellectually, and civically. Come wander, and wonder, with us!

This was a great way to get a feel for the city. We did this our first morning with our tour guide Kent. We met at the historic Hotel Boulder ado and spent 2 1/2 hours walking around Boulder. Great information, great conversations and interesting history. Make sure you bring water. We forgot but we were glad the hotel gift... More

It's a small town with great history. This wonderful tour takes you by the hand on foot to see it at a level that's great. Under all the activity is an amazing story of a town that came alive. The tour guide knows more than you can take in in one trip.

I don't normally do walking tours of cities because I like to talk to locals and explore in other ways, but I had a few hours to kill. I booked a spot last minute (30 minutes before tour started) and they were very accommodating. I got so lucky with my tour guide! Ellie was the best! Her love for Boulder... More

I live in Erie, though went to CU and lived in Boulder for years. My mom was in town from OH and picked up the flyer so we signed up for both the Boulder City tour and the Chautauqua tour. Both were fantastic!! Kent did the Chautauqua one and we had a "sub" for the Boulder one, who was equally... More

Kent the local townie guide gave a great 2 hour tour of the downtown and surrounding areas. Great inexpensive way to take in the town and get an idea of what's what.

Kent gave us a great history of the city. We ended up revisiting several places at his suggestion. Definitely worth the $20!

Kent is great, lots of info and really moved around the city. He gave good food spot suggestions and filled me in on the farmers market Wed and Sat. Lots of old building, which I like and renting a bike tomorrow and touring Boulder

We reserved a spot (required) the night before and took the tour on a Sat in late May. Kent is a great guide- with info about Boulder's past (how the town came to be, history, etc.) and the present sitch in town (issues that are important, impact of latest politics, floods, etc.) This is a great tour for locals (new... Anyone who is a first-timer to Boulder, as I was, would benefit from this walking tour. History, architecture, planning and development - I walked away with a real sense of the city. A super orientation. Thanks. A+
