Situated in the heart of an energetic city is beautiful, historic Downtown Boulder. At the heart of Downtown Boulder is the Pearl Street Mall, a wonderfully charismatic four-block-long pedestrian mall that celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2007. Colorful, bright flowers fill the mall almost the entire year and street performers, with a multitude of talents, make the Pearl Street Mall one of the best people-watching destinations anywhere.

Perhaps my perspective is skewed by living my whole life in College Towns. This is the part of Boulder that attempts to appeal to the folks who like book stores and foodie restaurants and hip boutiques. But it's a pale, dumbed-down version of Berkeley, Madison, Cambridge or Austin - low on quality and innovation, and high on price. If you... More

There is a variety of restaurants and shops along Pearl Street. Pleasant walking with no autos. The western animal sculptures are cool. The puzzle shop was our favorite.

Pretty sure you can't visit Boulder without a stroll along Pearl Street Mall. We went on a quiet Saturday morning and enjoyed a laid back stroll. Have heard that it can get crowded but we had plenty of elbow room.

Yeah, everyone has said about everything about this wonderful pedestrian mall. Take a closer look sometime. The mall starts around 8th and continues well past 15th. Low numbers are West End and Higher numbers are East End. Some street crossings are marked or lighted and some are not. All require coordination between you as a pedestrian and the very friendly... The Pearl Street Mall is a great place to get the taste of Boulder life. There are wonderful shops and vendors and a constant flow of people enjoying the experience. I chose to visit here a few times during my brief stay in Boulder and will certainly do so again during future visits.

One of the truly iconic parts of Boulder, a mall well planned and positioned with a great variety of local stores, and few big chains, sorry that there is a Cheesecake Factory but it is ok on that end. We walked with some friends the whole length of both sides recently and found it to be a fun time, just... More

We were only in the area for an hour or so but walked around and I was so happy to see a nice thriving area. I was more happy to see how clean and well kept the area was. I would also like to make comment on how extremely nice and polite everyone we came in contact was to us.... More
