The museum is unique with several large bronze sculptures outside, easily viewed off of a circular path. The interior of the museum has every media and style imaginable of all Western-themed art. Many many cowboys, western wildlife and Native Americans. The different art styles and media made it work, so was not monotonous. Went twice in one week to take... More

There are some absolutely gorgeous paintings of the western landscape: mountains, rivers, sunsets! The sculpture garden is also really neat and features a couple sculptures that you can actually climb on!

The museum was nice and you can go though it in about 20 minutes. The staff is pleasant and there is a gift shop. The art is not of the genre that I care for but there were three paintings in particular that absolutely took my breath away. If you have extra time it is worth it, if you are... More

Although the art work is more old west which is not my cup of tea, it is extraordinarily beautiful! They also make greeting unique greeting cards which are available for purchase.

Friends visiting from France had Leanin' Tree Museum on their list of place to see in Boulder. I had never heard of it and wasn't sure what it would be like. From the sculpture garden to the friendly welcome by its staff, the experience was great. Interesting western and nature art, some kind of kitchy but most really nice. Enjoyed... More

I was sure the museum wouldn't have "real art" I was surprised at the exquisite quality of some of the paintings inside! I am familiar with the cards and expected a tourist destination. It is worth a visit and its free or donation.

Nice stop after the Celestial Seasoning tour. It is just down the street. The art paintings and sculptures were very beautiful inside and out. The card shop was fun to browse through.

Wonderful free museum of bronzes and paintings a very close drive from Boulder. The sculpture garden even has two bronzes you can sit on for photo ops-- great for kids. Inside are two floors of artwork and a gift shop full of greeting cards, among other things. Labels for each piece of art give an abundance of information on the... More

Visited this museum for the first time with my daughter's class field trip. I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of different artists and styles presented. They have a very nice collection and we enjoyed it. I would like to return and spend more time. The sculpture garden outside is nice too. However, they have a nice grassy area but... More
