This free museum has a lovely large sculpture garden outside and a beautiful collection of western art inside. Definitely worth a visit if you like western art. This is also where Leanin' Tree cards are manufactured so you can tour the factory but should probably call for times. There is also a gift shop with a large selection of their... More

If you're ever in the north Boulder community of Gun Barrel. High recommendations go out to Leanin' tree museum of western art. This 2 story museum features great works of art from of all styles and genres. Some paintings are as big as the walls that they are hung on. After you enter the museum and gaze upon the beautiful... Stopped by on a whim after the Celestial Seasonings Tea Tour. Great collection of western art both indoors and out.

Outstanding museum and worth a pop in. Our main interest in visiting was a tour of the greeting card production however we missed out. In thinking we could combine two tours in an afternoon (Celestial Seasonings tea -3 min away), we didn't factor in that tour times were much different. Leanin Tree does not offer tours all day and so... More

I've been visiting this museum half a dozen times a year for about a decade. I live just a few miles away. What do I love about this place? 1. The art. It's captivating, and the collection represents many different styles and mediums from the realistic to the abstract, from paintings to sculptures. Everything captures some aspect of the West:... Local friends of ours took us to the museum, and all of us enjoyed it thoroughly. Unlike some of the Western art museums we visited, this one had many new artists; the previous museums we've visited had mostly Russell & Remington. We really enjoyed being introduced to other artists in the genre.

This is a great museum of western art. It's good for a short visit or to do in conjunction with the nearby Celestial Seasonings tour. The two together make for a nice morning. Be sure to stock up on greeting cards, too!

This free museum is close to Celestial Seasonings so combining the two is worthwile. The art is beautiful and a walk through the sculpture garden can't be beat. A great place to take out of town guests.

I've been a fan of the Leanin' Tree cards for over 40 years, and my first visit to the museum was a treat. The courtyard includes a variety of bronze sculptures, including a life-size rattlesnake, and a burro for sitting and photographs. We visited on a Sunday, so the tours of the greeting-card operations weren't available. This collection is primarily... More

This is a fun Western Museum, inside and out. Quite an extensive outdoor bronzed life- sized Western themed statues. Inside many colorful cowboy and Indian paintings. Even a few which were painted by American Indians, but only a few. There are smaller bronze statues interspersed through out the paintings. There is an extensive gift shop with all the things you...
