Boulder's best kept secret - a great collection of books, magazines and audiovisuals. Very interesting art shows, changing every few weeks. Free concerts and performances for kids and adults. Movie screenings. Great local info.... and helpful staff.

I visited this library during the Jaipur book festival in September. It is so well organized. Had the opportunity to listen to the book readings and discussions by various authors.

Not just books by a long shot. Wonderful art exhibit, nice little cafe and a theater. Lovely garden area for sitting and located along a stream with a walking path next to the city's long garden park.

Near the walking path, you may just love this library if you're looking for quiet areas to read, a good lunch or a hot cup of coffee over looking the creek, or a reassurance that public employees really can be nice and care about their jobs. A very enjoyable library. The "bricks and mortar" main library is wonderful. The on-line... More

Visited the main library to view an art exhibit in its gallery. The library is a beautiful building with well-stocked book areas, a lovely cafe, pleasant seating areas, and lots of natural light. Really impressive!

We attended the first (US based) Jaipur Int'l Book fair ... Held entirely at the library's wonderfully spacious facility, This well attended event made good use of the well designed and located structure played the perfect host ! As parking through out Central Boulder is sparse the public transport in town was appreciated by there visitors!

As an adult, there is no issue but for some reason they are attracted to children. Unfortunately, homeless people are plenty at this place. I have children and the homeless consistently would come up to my children. I would ask them to leave my children alone and they would cuss at me and call me names. I felt very unsafe... More

If you haven't been to the public library in a while, go! It has a bright new feeling, and if the check out machines look like airport security to you, there is always a librarian who hurries over to provide assistance. Many of the books are in new places, and the upstairs is very much rearranged, that's where the computers... More
