I love libraries and make an effort to visit the main library of the area that I visit. I have visited the Boulder Public Library on several occasions before but did not get a chance to visit the library after its renovation until today. The library looks good and inviting. Above all this library location by the boulder creek, and... More

I have always used this library with pleasure, the book selection is really up to date, recorded media also. The staff is always friendly and helpful. And then one day I found out the secret of why I could never find anything new on the recorded media shelves when I asked the friendly librarian why. Haha she said, we have... More

I would not recommend the Boulder Public Library as it is full of homeless people and it has become a safety issue that needs to be addressed.

I love the architecture of this building -- whoever designed it was in tune with the surrounding ecology and the Boulder culture. Unfortunately, the new renovations, in my opinion, are uninspired, dull, and lifeless. I would not go so far as to call it ugly, because that would imply that someone tried something that didn't work. No one tried anything... More

The Boulder Public Library is such a gift to the community. We attended an event for National History Day, the staff was wonderful, they assisted my daughter in finding 12 resources she was needing and were so kind and respectful to her. This is rare these days as she is a young teen and most adults are not friendly. I... More

Interesting building but every time I've visited there are homeless inside and outside. It is a very popular facility and the computers are always all in use. I'd say it is average otherwise (content wise). Not worth a special trip to have parking issues and potentially be assaulted with gross smells or overpowering marijuana scents.

Not only does the library offer a wide variety of books, media, etc for resources of enjoyment and education, there are tremendous programs for self-improvement. One such program is Boulder Reads!. The library itself - the resources (books, magazines, computers) and librarians - are all fantastic. The downtown building is being renovated right now but is huge. There are lots of places to sit and read or browse. There was a cafe on the bridge over the river and there will be a new one opening soon. The only problem is... More

Beautiful library, now undergoing renovation. Modern look and easy to get to. Located in Boulder, on beautiful grounds that you can sit and enjoy the views and the river that flows alongside it. During the spring, summer and fall the area is filled with a farmer's market (twice a week) and many weekend fairs. Great to just stroll along the... More

Wow is the best word for the Boulder Public Library - from its location along the Boulder Creek Path, to the inspiring architecture, to the superb natural lighting on the second floor, this is the BEST public library anywhere in the USA.
