A must visit when in Boulder - take your camera/phone!

A must visit when in Boulder - the restaurant was remodeled last year and is MUCH nicer now. Great area for picnics, hiking. Parking can be a challenge so walk or bike if you can!

I had the opportunity to hike Royal Arch and it was an amazing hike. The scenery was amazing and even though the trail is well traveled there were plenty of opportunities for quite enjoyment. It is quite the work out especially when your aren't used to the altitude. Parking can be tough to find but its worth the effort.

It was freezing Rain but that doesn't stop a true hiker! We hiked in the rain hoping to see some wildlife, well my sister was hoping to see bear and mountain lions. I was not. We did see three deers and loved the hike. Not to difficult at all but that's the route we chose.

This is a remarkable place right in the town of Boulder. We were lucky to see a red fox. We watched for 10-15 minutes before we started our hike to the flatirons.

While the start of this hike can be a little tough it is well worth it once you get towards the top. I would caution people about going if it has rained recently because the mud is very slippery and will highly diminish the fun you have on this hike. Overall it's a great experience and I would suggest it... More

Despite the fact that Chautauqua is usually packed with people, it is still a lovely hike that is worth a climb up. The views are beautiful and it is a perfect way to enjoy the beautiful Boulder weather. Especially if you are hiking on a day that is very hot, be sure to bring plenty of water. I also love... More

A spring business meeting turned into a wonderfully relaxing stay. The historic site is beautifully maintained and the cottages are lovely and very comfortable. Next time I'd love to come for three or four days and bring friends or family to hike the trails or attend an event. Parking might be a challenge on the weekends, but not a problem... More

We were here during the week, so parking was not an issue, but it was a busy place. We did one loop, which had great views. There are restrooms and trail maps at the ranger house. Great place for a quick hike

I stayed at Chautauqua a few days to officiate friends' wedding. High the scenery and cabins certainly are beautiful, the staff seem to have challenges organizing and scheduling events. My friends ran into multiple challenges, including having to reschedule their wedding because Chautauqua staff double-booked the space.

We really like a lot of the trails you find in the part they range from easy to really demanding. The trees are old and wise and provide a lot of shade. The concert hall hosts some well known performers. Going to Chautauqua can take you back in time. A lovely park too. You an spend any length of time... More
