We were in Boulder for the day and chose to come here after seeing reviews on TripAdvisor and seeing booklets at the Boulder Visitor Center. The hike we took was great, with outstanding views of the city. Afterwards, we had a meal at their restaurant, with many interesting and unique food options. I agree with all the other 4 and... More

This is a nice area for a quick hike or a longer endeavor. Many people go there for a 30-60 minute workout as the trails intersect nicely and allow you to choose a longer or shorter hike depending on your available time. Thee are many choices for trails. Last time I did Bluebell-Baird which was about a 45-50 minute loop... More

We took the Bluebird-Baird trail, and it has a good incline, giving you a good workout without too much intensity so you still enjoy the hike. You have meadows, forests, and rocky terrain with lovely views of the Flatirons and Boulder. Parking can be tricky.

The location is great. The food for lunch is good and reasonably priced. Service is available on the patio.

Chautauqua is quintessential Boulder. Go for a hike and then have brunch at the restaurant for a perfect morning. Or bring the little ones, let them run around the playground and then have brunch. Walk around and look at the quaint cabins where people used to spend the summer attending Chautauqua events, and which are still available for rental.

Chautauqua is actually many things. First, you can just drive up and take a hike. There's a ranger station near one of the parking lots as you enter. All hikes are beautiful. Second, Chautauqua is also a community of homes. As in other parts of the country, founding families built homes and would come to Boulder for the summer. They... More

Loved this hike as a low key, explore Boulder, and have great views of both Boulder and the front range. It was short enough and difficult, yet easy to accomplish. The flatirons between 1 and 2 allow for excellent views of the front range. Definitely a great way to experience the mountains without the altitude reaciton. Great way to get... More

We sat on the veranda on the dining hall with a nice breeze - a perfect setting for breakfast. Quality of food is very good and the kitchen actually cooks breakfast as requested. The French Toast was a special treat. Look forward to returning!

If you are in Boulder you have to stop and see the Flatirons above Chautauqua. A great place for a hike. Make sure to stop and check out the visitor's center.
