Fantastic hike

This park is fantastic to have a good hike and great views. If you are silent you may even see deer, falcons and foxes(we had the luck to see them all). Pretty cool adventure.

We found a parking spot here on a busy Saturday afternoon, but people were also parked along the road. The grounds are beautiful, with little old-fashioned buildings and nice landscaping. There was a wedding taking place as we walked across the lawn! But the real attraction is the Flatirons, which rise majestically from the west side of the property. I'd... More

Home of The Flatirons, which there are 5, but 3 get ALL the attention. Royal Arch is nice hike. Little icey/muddy in early spring. Very popular at all times of the day. Local favorite.

Beautiful scenery and hiking just on the edge of Boulder. Chautauqua is also an adult education movement from the turn of the century to bring culture in the form of mostly talks, but other forms of education/ entertainment also. There is still an active institute in NY. Here in Boulder there are cabins and the old building, now a restaurant,... More

We loved that we were able to hike for a couple of hours with barely having to drive any where. I recommend stopping at the ranger station to gets tips on which trails to do. We did a pretty loop one day and another day did the Royal Arch Trail. The loop we did the first day was quite muddy,... More

Had a great time hiking Chautauqua and the Flatiron Loop. It's not too difficult and is a great workout. My advice is get there early as parking can be scarce and give yourself plenty of time to take in the beauty that is the mountains and city of Boulder.

We were amazed at how much work was done on the trail to Royal Arch since the 2013 flood. Great job! We do a fair amount of hiking in the area but this is definitely my favorite! It is a great workout and a great way to spend a half day hiking. Go early because parking is a problem if... More

We had never visited Boulder before but this was recommend on TripAdvisor, so after a brief jaunt we arrived and having skipped getting a map at the rangers station began our hike, appropriately prepared with a camel pack and protien bars (essential). There was a wonderful array of people from all parts of the globe (a treat if you enjoy... More
