Got a map, talked to a park ranger and then ignored what she said and went our own route....up Chautauqua trail to the 2nd and 3rd flat iron. About 15 minutes up the trail I was ready to quit. The elevation gain and being a "flatlander" in her mid 40's made this hike pretty difficult until we got up to... More

Weather permitting, this is a "must see and hike" in Boulder. All ages and abilities welcome! Parking can be tight, especially on the weekends. Find a spot, put on your hiking boots or sneakers and head on up. We didn't get to venture too far in but the trails are relatively easy and it's a very scenic spot. Good for... More

This was my first time in Boulder. The trails were well marked and well travelled. I saw a variety of people and their dogs- from serious hikers to casual walkers. The views are great. Just make sure you bring water and dress in layers.

Okay, maybe not quite, but for a midwesterner that only gets to Colorado a couple of times a year, going up to 7200 feet is probably going to be my Everest. This park is so amazing and the fact is that there are so many places to go that you can either climb up the main artery leading up from... More

This awesome park up against The Flatirons is popular with hikers for its many trails. There is also a restaurant ope in the summer.

At the edge of Boulder and the foothills, this place is really worth a visit. The dining hall is a quality restaurant, and the park is great for picnics. I have not rented a place here, but I hear that they are very rustic and nice. This is the takeoff for a number of hikes in the Flatirons.

I'm from Texas and everything here is flat. It was refreshing to walk into nature and climb up a mountain. Beautiful!

Have visited many times in the last 35 years through multiple restaurant management companies. Remodeled dining room is warm and welcoming, but the food quality is haphazard: sometimes great, sometimes mediocre. Service almost always poor.
