Chautauqua is a favorite place to hike the trails, observe nature, and catch a concert at the Auditorium. It is rich in history and authentic American spirit. Lodging is rustic with all the modern conveniences. It is truly a national treasure in the shadow of the Flat Irons.

We hiked at Chautauqua this past weekend and can say it was a very enjoyable outing. Lots of places to take photos and the views at every turn are spectacular. Hiking toward the Flatirons is breath taking but don't forget to look east to see views of downtown Boulder and CU. You can make the hike as long or short... More

Took me about an hour to hike to the summit and the view was gorgeous up there looking down. Park was crowed when i got there at 10:30 AM on Sunday, no luck finding parking at the park's parking lot so i had to park on the street. Make sure to bring enough water and maybe something to wipe your... More

Many choices for hikes of varying lengths (stop by the visitor center for information) and beautiful views of the Flatirons, the Rockies and Boulder. Don't miss this!

Took the Chautauqua trail to the First and Second Flatirons trail. This trail takes you to the top of the 2nd Flatiron, and the views are spectacular. It's an easy to moderate hike, perfect for a casual hiker. Would definitely recommend.

So close to downtown Boulder and so pretty! I went for a hike on a Sunday afternoon. The weather was beautiful and the trails nice and clear. There were a lot of people out there on the weekend. Didn't get a sense of remoteness but I really enjoyed seeing all the happy people and dogs out there! I loved it!

it was great. a bit more skill is involved in the upper trails. On the short side, may only take an hour to get to the top if you have hiking experience.

Had a very enjoyable hike on Sunday morning. Had to park several blocks away from the trailhead so we knew it must be fun. It was. It would be Excellent if everyone would clean up after their dogs!

Our family rented a large cottage/home in Chautauqua Park. 11 persons and perfect weather - we felt like Teddy Roosevelt camping out with views overlooking Boulder. Park is lovely and hiking trails fabulous and well marked. The summer Music Festival was in full swing and he sounds of classical symphonies filled the air most evenings. Everything was perfect EXCEPT the... More

We saw that Chautauqua was rated highly as an attraction in Boulder and so, on a recent trip to Boulder we decided to spend a Sunday afternoon there and perhaps go on a short hike. First of all, there was no place to park. After waiting around for someone to leave, we finally landed a spot. Although we had a... More
