Michael Dragutsky and David Sloas crushed their first five tons of Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon. Today the founders of Cornerstone Cellars and have been joined by Managing Partner Craig Camp, Winemaker Jeff Keene, in the Napa Valley, and a group of Memphis based partners led by Hal Lewis and John Carrier. All share one goal: to make compelling, exciting wines that speak clearly of the vineyard, variety and vintage from which they are born. All of our wines receive minimal, gentle winemaking relying more on nature than technology as the path to making great wine. All come from organic or sustainably farmed vineyards. While our Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon remains the cornerstone of our portfolio, this year will see the premiere release of a very special wine. Named simply, "The Cornerstone" this wine represents the pinnacle of our vision of Napa Valley winemaking. « less

My husband and I stopped in here on a trip through Napa and had a great time. The wines were very good. My favs were the Chardonnay (and I am not a Chardonnay drinker), Oregon Pinot Noir, and the Syrah. Ben helped us out while we were there and he was very friendly and knowledgeable about the wines as well... More

Located in Yountville not far from a few other tasting rooms all open until 7:00pm it was a great place to wind down the day. I was not able to get through the whole tasting before they had to close, but they invited me to come back the next day at no extra charge. These guys understand wine and customer... More

After driving between some of the major wineries for tastings it was nice to stroll Yountville's main street and hit a few casual unpretentious tastings on foot. Cornerstone was a joy mostly due to our guide/server. He made it comfortable and enjoyable.

I am a fan of Cornerstone wine esp. Howell Mtn. cab. Katrina was a great hostess. The room is bright and cheerful and a wonderful selection of wines were offered. Besides picking up my spring shipment, we got 6 more bottles.

Cellars is a correct name for this...it's not really a winery, as they buy their grapes (maybe even their wines and simply label it), from other parts of the U.S. There are too many great wineries and vineyards in the area to waste much time here...although the host was wonderful (Robert), we enjoyed the tastings, but won't spend $80 a... This was our last stop on our wine tour. Good wines and Ben was very knowledgeable about the wines. We bought a bottle to take back to our hotel and enjoyed it on our last night in San Francisco!

This was my first wine tasting in Napa, and who better to set the bar high than Matt at Cornerstone. He was knowledgeable about the wines, almost sharing more information than I could take in. He gave personal insights into the wine, as well as details about its blend, local terroir, etc. The wines were really good, with some excellent... More

My husband and I very much enjoyed this tasting. The young lady pouring was very sweet and informative. We bought a couple bottles to take home, and they waived the tasting fee.

We were referred by one of their wine distributors Alex and were not disappointed. Adam was our server and presented delicious Cornerstone & Stepping Stone wines along with a cheese, olive & salami plate. Don't miss out on trying this wine. Beautiful tasting room.
