This was our last stop of the day on our tour, but we learned more in 2 hours about wines that it felt like a 3 credit course. We had a great time with Darren who provided excellent service and guidance teaching us about both reds and whites. We had tastings on both the front picnic table and the tasting... More

We started our day at Hopper Creek, and nothing else quite lived up to our time there. Darren was an excellent host who taught us an amazing amount of things about wine and product evaluation in such a short period of time. It was the most unpretentious environment one could expect, and I/we immediately felt at ease and relaxed. Their... More

Both Dan and Darren we super friendly and unpretentious. They are passionate about their wine and it shows. They spent the time to really educate us on what we were tasting and the tour took in both their front patio, tasting room and the back patio. This was also the only winery where the hosts partook of the wine!

Darren was funny, educational , occasionally over the edge (in an ok way) but mostly positively passionate about what he preaches. Knowledgable beyond belief. Arrives with Platypus Tour (and they are awesome too). Darren's knowledge from vine to wine and beyond was incredible. Would love to have dinner with him just to absorb some of his knowledge. Definitely make this... More

We visited Hopper Creek as part of a tour we were on through Platypus tours (also recommended). Hopper Creek is a small winery that produces only about 1000 cases per year. Our host at the winery, Darren, was awesome. In addition to being unbelievably informative he was highly entertaining. Oh, yeah, their wines are very tasty as well. Highly recommended... More

What a delightful experience. After all the fancy wineries, sheet one felt rushed most of the time...these two guys took their time and expertise to give us a full educational wine experience. Loved the beautiful surroundings, the vastness of the colored vines...This was my second visit and won't be my last.

We visited Hopper Creek with Platypus Wine Tours, which was great because it was not on our radar and that is exactly why you want a local showing you around. We were lucky enough to show up during season with a row of berries to be crushed so that was a fun "Napa tourist" experience. But what I LOVED about... More

16 of us from Ohio here for the CAL Ohio State football game spent three days in Napa Valley. I'm local so found places our group would find unique, different and of corse, great wine. Our entire group loved this place. We already had stopped at four places via Napa Valley Tours and Transportation (awesome service), and I almost cancelled... More
