Owner description: V Marketplace is the original icon of specialty retail in northern California’s wine country. One of the first wineries in the Napa Valley, Groezinger Winery was built in 1870 and continued operating as a winery until 1955. This lovely old brick building was destined to be sold and torn down for the price of its bricks, but a small group of visionaries purchased it and lovingly restored the building and it now houses specialty shops, four art galleries and three restaurants including Emmy-award winning Chef Michael Chiarello’s fabulous and much touted rustic farm-to-table Italian cuisine restaurant Bottega. There are two wine tasting bars including one of the most complete wine cellars of the Napa Valley. V Wine Cellar offers an inviting wine environment that will please novices and aficionados alike with a choice of a tasting bar or a cozy lounge where guests can savor and experience the world of wine with expert advice from a knowledgeable staff. V Marketplace is home to Napa Valley’s original hot air balloon company which launches daily, weather permitting from the property. V Marketplace is Napa Valley’s most beautiful and inviting specialty retail complex located in the world renowned epicurean hamlet of Yountville, surrounded by lush picnic gardens, beautiful water features and meandering cobblestone, special events and entertainment are scheduled year round.

We enjoy going to V Marketplace - especially to Napa Style, which is Michael Chiarello (Food TV fame) store. They usually have a very good variety of cooking salts, oils, and other food products. We also like their variety of things for the kitchen. We generally make a couple of stops each year and almost always walk out with purchases... More

Not much for me in this shopping plaza except Kollar Chocolates. They are worth going in for. They have interesting flavors, and pretty painted chocolates. I could have sat forever and watched the chocolatiers spread layer upon layer. The smell draws you in, and the constant stream of melted chocolate keeps you mesmerized. I recommend the lavender truffle and sunflower... More

The V market is an interesting place with good galleries, jewellers, fashion shops, a great wine shop, but for me...the best was Monticristi Hat shop on second floor. Among many other hats they sell authentic Panama Hats, and a grand selection they have, from about $200/hat to $5000/hat....their knowledge and service is very good....and so is their passion for Panama... V Marketplace is a little shopping area in Yountville. The marketplace is a cute brick building with cobblestone sidewalks inside. It houses a wine tasting room, 2 or 3 art galleries, some boutique stores, some home decorating stores and a chocolate shop. The chocolate shop is Kollar Chocolate and what an amazing little find. The chocolate is expensive but is... More

This place has it all! Spent the day here and ate and shopped ourselves to content- great brunch at Pacific Blues, GREAT coffee at the caboose, award winning chocolates at Kollars, great shopping on the second level of the VMarketplace (formerly Vintage 1870) late lunch at Hurley's and an evening cigar (Romeo y julieta) from the great wine shop; V...
