We had a group of 10 family members and had called Sonoma-Cutrer ahead of time to let them know they were a stop on our tasting trip. When we got there they said there were not enough wine glasses for our party and we couldn't do a tasting. We were all very disappointed as we went out of way to... More

Sonoma-Cutrer Winery has a monthly "Chardonnay and Croquet" event. We have attended a few and find it a wonderful Sunday outing. You are welcomed with a glass of their great Chardonnay. There are usually 8 to 12 folks signed up for their round-robin tournament. Wine, cheese, fruit, and crackers are provided while you play. They have 4 world class croquet... More

I don't drink wine, but enjoyed the gardens. Worth the drive? I was there in spring. Lots to see in that area. Be careful if you bike.

We decided to skip the tour and just taste. We loved it! The weather was perfect so we were able to sit outside and chat with others about the wines and our overall time in wine country. The wines were wonderful and the woman leading the tasting was very knowledgable. We will be back.

Let me begin by saying that we love Sonoma-Cutrer wines. And maybe because of that, we were really looking forward to what was billed as an "in-depth look into Sonoma-Cutrer" and promising a tour of the cellar and fermenting room. What we got, however, was a huge disappointment. Our tour guide, Mark Elcombe, took us out to the vines first.... More

Arranged and paid for private tour - five of us. Brought out to vines for a 10 minute instructional and also to the vicinity of sorter. Told we could not see anything else because they were in production. No view of cellars, production line, sorting process. Nothing. Also part of cost was wine tasting. Wines were poured before we got... More

The grounds and the main building are absolutely stunning. My husband and I did a vineyard tour and tasting. The tour was very informative and thorough - the guide drove us in a golf cart out through the vineyards showing us different types of grapes and row configurations. Next we saw the sorting equipment, the crush pad, and cooling room.... More

We enjoyed a very personal and educational tour of this elegant vineyard and winery. Led by Mark, we traveled through the vineyards learning why Sonoma-Cutrer wines are rated so high year after year! We never knew what went into making a great bottle of wine. He answered all our questions and opened our eyes into the making of a wine.... More

We can't say enough good things about this tour. Our host was Michael Florian and he wowed us from the beginning to the end of the tour. His knowledge of the industry was impeccable. He took us into the vineyard and explained in some detail how the soil, location and angle of land all factor into which grape to plant.... More

The $25/person for tasting and tour is a great deal! You, and fellow tasters, get taken around by a giant golf cart and get up close and personal with the different grapes and the steps they take to protect the produce and ultimately harvest them. Their entire process is hand done by only ~100 people for over 480 acres!!! The... More
