It was my first time in Los Angeles last weekend. I was in town for work and was mostly locked away in the convention center under the chill of air conditioning and bright florescent lights. I booked a day-long bicycle tour for my one day off, and the bright sunshine and open roads (Sunday - no traffic!) were a welcome... More

Had a nice 4+ mile hike this past Sunday in Griffith Park. Trekked up to the top of Mt. Hollywood and then back down to the Observatory. Eric was an excellent guide who provided us with interesting facts about the Park and its history. I would recommend Bikes and Hikes LA!

I am not going to lie, the first hour or two you will be cycling through the hills of Beverley and bel air, but it is well worth it! We rode 55kms in about 5.5-6 hours with a healthy lunch stop on the way (you will need about $10pp cash for this so don't forget wallet)... If it is a... More

My family of five - ages teen and up - did the LA in a Day 32 mile bike tour with Eric. It was wonderful! We did a lot of stopping for pictures and spent pretty much the whole day on the tour. Eric was a terrific guide leading us safely through the streets and paths and having interesting stories... More

Opted to try the LA in a day bike tour. This is not a tour for small children as the biking of around 35 miles is accurate. However, our 12 year old handled the course like a pro. They stressed safety as well as entertainment both. We were able to take frequent stops along the way and there was plenty... More

This was THE highlight of my first trip ever to LA. Spectacular vistas and the bonus was our exceptional guide, Michael. His passion for the area was contagious and he'll be enthusiastically recommended to friends back in central Canada. Our teenaged boys loved it too! All ages will enjoy this hike. Thanks Michael! Unforgettable!

My mother and I went on our Hollywood Sunset Hike on July 3, 2014. We were running very late, and got lost on the way to the starting point. The Bikes and Hikes LA professionals encouraged us to try to make it there and gave us helpful directions to bypass the traffic. Our tour guide, Mike, waited for us and... More

This was the best part of our trip! Else was our guide and we were fortunate to be the only two in the group (Mother/Daughter.) We felt extremely comfortable with her and relaxed and never rushed. She explained in great detail the history of Colonel Griffith, the park, the Observatory, the Hollywood Sign, and LA and the surrounding areas in... More

We had such a great time on our bike tour with Eric! The VIP ride to the mansion certainly helped! It was a breath-taking ride and much better than being couped up on one of those tour buses with 20+ people! We definitely recommend paying the extra money for the private tour...well worth the minimal extra expense. And...if you bring... More
