This bar is the ultimate place to see your favorite band - it's small yet perfect and the acoustics are great there...plus, you never know when JD might be hangin out!

Iconic rock pub you'll be sorry to miss. Small, charming and live music - a great and unique atmosphere! Our first taste of LA music venue - and we loved it!

Who doesn't like the Viper Room? Yeah, drinks are a little too pricey, but it's on the boulevard. I've been at least two dozen times and everyone is always friendly, the sound is always decent and I always have a good time. I typically stay away from Sunset unless I'm seeing live music, but I'll always come to shows here.... More

A must see if you're a rock fan. Places like this define L.A. Don't pass this club by. When you're in luck, you might actually see a band you enjoy, though that's subordinate to the overall experience.

From our 3 week trip to the US, this was a personal highlight. My music collection is still full of 90s US bands and when I found out we were staying just round the corner, I had to check it out. It was also their 21st anniversary and Friday night with Palo Alto and an amazing collaboration with members from... More

Went to the viper rooms on a Tuesday night, to watch a band, was very small, and very dark, just what I was expecting! No seating unless you pay for a VIP booth. Drinks were reasonably priced and very strong, and the bar staff were friendly. Good famous sunset venue for watching music, we watched a band called Teenage Exorcists... More

Went specifically to see a band and had a fun night. It's not the most legendary strip venue but it's still a pretty cool place. The sound and the set-up for the bands was good and the drinks were surprisingly reasonable - was expecting it to be expensive and it wasn't. Only downside is, it's tiny and there is no... More

quite ok place, if You manage to look beyond those 350 pound bouncers. Then You are free to do whatever You want, that means whatever your nose desire. There is no California smoking Laws or any other Laws for that matter inside there. So its full on rockn roll all night long any Way You dig to do it. Only... More

We paid quite a bit to see the show in a tiny little room. The bar was fine but there was no where to sit. They only had VIP tables that were WAY out of our price range. Typical rock/metal venue.

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
