Our family went to Discovery Kingdom and had lots of fun. We had two adults and a teenager and we all enjoyed the park very much. We skipped all of the "kiddie rides" and went straight for the more mature, thrilling, "adult" rides. There are many attractions, not just roller coasters. There are also shows and some characters to meet.... More

This is my favorite park in all of California. It's like SeaWorld mixed with Six Flags Magic Mountain. Much nicer park too. The bigger coasters are all in the front (as not to disturb the animals) and all the family rides and animals in the back. Great for anyone of any age. The coasters at the park are pretty good.... We go to Six Flags frequently and have a season pass. Our favorite time of year is Holiday in the Park - hot chocolate, carolers, snow, cookie decorating. Our least favorite time of the year is May. Many schools come for the day and there is no way the few adults in attendance can possibly keep track of the kids... More

Visited on New Years Eve, and surprisingly we finished the park within 4 hours. There were only a couple of good rides around (6 or 7 maybe). It was much smaller than expected, with most things within 3 minutes of each other. Would have given a 3 stars review but I added one because on NYE the park was unreasonably... More

My wife and I are planning to visit Dinsneyland and we live close to Discovery Kingdom and decided to prep for the big park visit by going here and seeing how our 2 boys would do. We would recommend upgrading to the season pass or membership as we saved a lot of money and will definately be going back. The... More

This Six Flags park has rides for the little people and some for the brave ones! Some great shows, especially the dolphin show! The prices for a lot of the merchandise is better than any other amusement park I've been to. We bought the season passes and upgraded to Gold, which seems to be a worthy investment for the year.... We arrived 1 1/2 hours before close in the pouring rain with only 55 degrees and we had the rollercoasters to ourselves! 7 rides on three separate roller coasters that were still running!

This is based on a day spent at 6 Flags Vallejo late in the summer....As I had no idea, I decided to review what people were saying about it (mostly on Yelp.) What people are saying: --lines are long and the rides break down: long lines are not a big deal IF you know that you will get to ride... More

My family and I visited yesterday specifically for the Holiday in the Park celebration. The lights did not disappoint. Even though the parking lot seemed full, the lines and ability to experience the tree lighting and other experiences of Holiday in the Park did not seem long or crowded at all. Now, the lines for the Hot Cocoa refills, those... More

When we went, we were expecting what we've seen at a handful of other Six Flags parks, a collection of thrill rides suitable for thrill seekers and not much else. Six Flags Discovery Kingdom does not fit that mold. Sure, there are some great roller-coasters, just like every other Six Flags, but what sets Discovery Kingdom apart from the rest... More
