Ferry is a relaxing and scenic way to get to pier 39 in San Francisco. Of course it didn't hurt that it was 70 degrees and a crystal clear day. Sure beats fighting traffic and huge parking rates

Not wanting to face big city traffic... and finding a place to park... we decided to book passage on the Vallejo ferry. Such a great way to visit the city! We've now used it three times on various trips to the area -- my son is stationed at Travis AFB in Fairfield. While the drive through Vallejo looks a little... More

Looking for something different to do on a weekend? Why not take the fabulous Vallejo Ferry to San Francisco. Some departures dock at the San Francisco Ferry Building and then take a detour to Pier 41 (near the famous Pier 39 attraction). This is the BEST way to travel to San Francisco: no smog, no traffic, no stress from driving.... More

Nice large comfortable vessels with bar/snacks/restrooms glide at speed over the water allowing a quick easy round trip to San Francisco from a port about 10 miles from Napa Valley (Vallejo, CA). Views not only of the surrounding bays, hills, etc., but Alcatraz, Bay Bridge, The Golden Gate, and you land around Fisherman's Wharf. All this in comfortable seating. Sit... More

Went to San Francisco via this ferry. It was a refreshing and a fun way of transpo to San Francisco. Two stops from Vallejo Ferry Center , first will be at San Francisco Ferry Building and last will be at Pier 41. Very safe and comfortable ride . I will defintely make use of it again

The ferries (on both our trips) were large, accomodating, totally on time, and took us on a nice ride which we enjoyed by the time we reached Vallejo to continue our journey towards Napa. The frequency is good on weekdays, but please increase the frequency for weekends too :)

You can grab a beer or a coffee and enjoy your view of the bay and San Francisco. You don't have the stress of traffic. But get there early, it is quite popular.

Why fight crazy drivers, traffic in general, bridge tolls,or parking fees? Jump on our boat in Vallejo and have coffee or a Bloody Mary on the way to Fisherman's wharf. Along the way You get views of Mare island, The Al Zampa bridges, the Richmond bridge, San quentin, Alcatraz, Angel island and the Golden Gate before arriving at the Embarcadero.... More

Although the ferry is more expensive than taking a Vallejo transit bus to El Cerrito Del Norte BART station and then the BART to San Francisco, the ferry is scenic and a relaxing way to travel. It drops you off at the ferry terminal building in San Francisco. The scheduled ferry service from Vallejo alternates the ferry and a bus,... More

Perfect way to get to SF from the North part of the Bay area!!! You avoid outrageous parking fees and you are dropped off right downtown either at Pier 1 (Ferry Parking) or Pier 39 right next to Fisherman's Wharf! If you qualify, don't forget to ask for the Senior Discount...you'll save 50%!!!
