My boyfriend and I were a little nervous driving into San Francisco so a family member mentioned the ferry! I tend to feel a bit nauseous on boat rides but they offered food and drinks to us. It's not too expensive and they have parking right across the street from the center. You won't have to worry about parking your... More

The ferry is a great way to get to SF. The ride is approximately an hour and there are no better views of our great bay and cities surrounding SF. It's a good alternate to BART and much more scenic. If you are a senior, the rates cannot be beat! Ferries also go to the ball park for games in... More

Unbeknownst to me a Super Bowl activity was taking place in San Francisco, which explained the packed ferry from Vallejo to San Francisco and back. Nevertheless, the ferry crews were on their toes and both trips were handled professionally. All day parking cost 5.00 in a city lot across the street and my senior discount cut the fare almost in... This is the best way to arrive into SF from the Napa Valley. It is a half hour drive away and then jump on the ferry and they drop you off right next to pier 39.

It's a great way to get to San Francisco. You don't have to pay bridge fares, or for parking and you don't have to deal with traffic. The people on the ferry are very friendly.

It's about an hour long and you get a very pleasant view of the Bay, going by the Carquinez Bridge, Angel Island, and the Bay Bridge. It's particularly nice on hot summer days or when riding back from San Francisco to Vallejo at night when the buildings are lit up.

Traveling on the ferry is so comfortable. The staff is helpful and the service is very reliable. As a daily commuter, I traveled on the ferry in all types of Bay area weather. It is extremely rare for anyone to get seasick. If you want to go to Fisherman's Wharf, take the F trolley that runs in front of the... More

My Port Costa vacation rental guests always get my recommendation to take the ferry to SF where they can disembark at teh Fishermans wharf or the SF Farmers market , and walk right down the gang plank to the Slanted Door ( a GREAT Thai fusion restaurant) . Havent gone myself since two years ago August when my brother was... More

You have to pay for parking now, but it still is the easiest way to get to the city from Vallejo if you don't care to drive. relaxing and comfortable. be aware that on game days (giants) there is a massive crush to use this. get there early!!

The Vallejo ferry is a great way to get to SF from Vallejo. With a Clipper card it's 10.20 each way. The larger ferries are definitely mor comfortable than the older boats. Drawbacks are parking gets full before the mid morning ferry, limited schedule and my biggest complaint is the non commute ferry will wait for stragglers. I was on... More
