The ferry is economical and worry free especially when compared to driving to San Francisco. Pay a reasonable fee and sit back and enjoy the ride. We sat outside and experienced the beautiful weather. I love it and will take it again next time I want to go to the city.

We love to spend the day at Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf. The ferry trip from Vallejo is scenic and the children love going outside to the upper deck . The ferry is always punctual and you don't have to hassle traffic into the city. Very relaxing.

The relaxed style of travel can't be beat, and you will always find a seat. It it pricey and takes an entire hour one-way, but totally worth it if I-80 is backed up (which is often these days).

It is not the cheapest way to get to the City. It is the best way though. What's not great about a boat ride with a bar? Took the Ferry to Pier 1 to go to a Giants game last year. It was one of those still, warm summer days. Sat outside over and back. Just awesome.

The ferry is the way to go if you want the scenic route versus the traffic. Catch it in Vallejo and ride it to the "city" with the kids, they will love it.

This ferry is always on time, friendly service and fantastic ride. The scenery can't be beat. To the East just North of the Richmond San Rafael Bridge there is an old lighthouse which is now a Bed and Breakfast run by the National Park Service. Don't forget to look West to spy the Golden Gate between Tiburon and Angel Island.

Take a smooth, fast and safe ride to San Francisco - and arrive on time - on the Vallejo/SF Ferry. It takes about the same time as driving - but with none of the hassle. When comparing the cost of gasoline, bridge toll plus parking charges, I'm sure it is also cheaper. Have a bite, sit in airliner seats, read... More

I want to start this review off with nothing but accolades for the wonderful service and hard work of the crew of the ferry. I have taken this ferry to San Francisco for years and have enjoyed my time on the ferry each and every time. Unfortunately, this past Tuesday when I was with friends that positive experience quickly soured.... More
