Went to San Francisco via this ferry. It was a refreshing and a fun way of transpo to San Francisco. Two stops from Vallejo Ferry Center , first will be at San Francisco Ferry Building and last will be at Pier 41. Very safe and comfortable ride . I will defintely make use of it again

The ferries (on both our trips) were large, accomodating, totally on time, and took us on a nice ride which we enjoyed by the time we reached Vallejo to continue our journey towards Napa. The frequency is good on weekdays, but please increase the frequency for weekends too :)

You can grab a beer or a coffee and enjoy your view of the bay and San Francisco. You don't have the stress of traffic. But get there early, it is quite popular.

Why fight crazy drivers, traffic in general, bridge tolls,or parking fees? Jump on our boat in Vallejo and have coffee or a Bloody Mary on the way to Fisherman's wharf. Along the way You get views of Mare island, The Al Zampa bridges, the Richmond bridge, San quentin, Alcatraz, Angel island and the Golden Gate before arriving at the Embarcadero.... More

Although the ferry is more expensive than taking a Vallejo transit bus to El Cerrito Del Norte BART station and then the BART to San Francisco, the ferry is scenic and a relaxing way to travel. It drops you off at the ferry terminal building in San Francisco. The scheduled ferry service from Vallejo alternates the ferry and a bus,... More

Perfect way to get to SF from the North part of the Bay area!!! You avoid outrageous parking fees and you are dropped off right downtown either at Pier 1 (Ferry Parking) or Pier 39 right next to Fisherman's Wharf! If you qualify, don't forget to ask for the Senior Discount...you'll save 50%!!!

Taking the ferry from Vallejo, CA to San Francisco was a very enjoyable experience. Would suggest you do this on a weekend as, during the week, you may not be able to find parking because of commuters. There is a parking garage and outside parking lot right across from the ferry terminal for $5.00 (credit cards are accepted). Inside the... More

Parked at the ferry and went into town for a day. A relaxing drive with no hassles. You can take the whole family and the kids can sleep on the way back. Great views from the ferry of Angel Island and the waterfront. You get off right near the NPS desk for Alcatraz tours. Book these ahead of time online.... More

By using the ferry, we saved time and money as opposed to driving in each day. A relaxing trip in and out of San Francisco

If you need to get from the Vallejo/Benicia area to San Francisco, this ferry is a really good choice. It runs often, is modestly priced, and takes almost exactly the same time as driving down I-80 and across the Bay Bridge with a whole lot less hassle. You arrive relaxed and within a short walk of many buses, BART, and... More
