A great way to get from Vallejo to the San Francisco Ferry Building. I love the spectacular views. However, it is a bit pricey ($13.00 each way), to use as a daily commute. Something you should really do at least once for the experience. The trip is pretty long (about 1 hour dock to dock).

This is truly the way to experience your first stay in San Francisco. You arrive at the port in style. The rute takes about 50 min and is quite fast. But you enter the famous port and can view a skyline like no other. Also to sail the San Fransisco Bay is part of the experience including the many bridges... More

They do a good job of keeping the boat on schedule, which is great if you have appointment you have to be someplace at a certain time. The entire boat is kept clean, and the restrooms are very nice and kept clean.

Delightful way to go to the City. Quiet, with great views en route. Lease the car at home and head to the Ferry Bldg. or to Pier 41. The latter runs less frequently but it's only a short distance to hop the Hyde St. cable car. From the Ferry Bldg. there is easy access to transportation to all part of... More

Terrific way to get from Vallejo or Sacramento area to San Francisco. Parking is $5 (BAD NEWS: some cars were broken into while we were gone - DON'T LEAVE VALUABLES IN YOUR CAR). Ferry is on time and the ferry to Pier 41 at 9:30 a.m. stops first at the Ferry Building for those wanting downtown SF. Ferry is just... More

Great way to get to SF without dealing with traffic. We left from Vallejo and don't realize there was a SF Giants game, so we didn't make the first ferry. Something to check prior to going. Since we were one of the first in line for the next ferry, we got seats at a table. Worked out really well with... More

The ferry service to SF from Vallejo is a great way to get to the city, especially on a nice, sunny day. It takes about an hour and the trip is very smooth. Stop at the Ferry Building or Pier 41 right at Fisherman's Wharf. We used it to get to our cruise ship. Also for leisure as well since... More

Slightly pricey, $26 RT for a day pass, but totally worth it. They have a special ferry for going to the Giants game, which drops you right at the park. Nice way to travel in and visit the ferry building (market day is Saturday) or pier 39/41.

There is a reason this is the number one attraction in Vallejo over Six Flags. The ferry service to San Francisco was very efficient except we went on the day that the Giants were playing the A's. So the ferry terminal was super crowded. We missed the first ferry because it was sold out. We had to wait an hour... More
