We took the kids on the ferry before heading to San Francisco just to avoid traffic. It was a nice view and seating was comfortable. Very nice alternative to driving or catching Bart. My children had a really good time watching everything. Would do it again.

The ferry ride to San Francisco was about an hour. Smooth ride, comfortable seats, nice people. So glad we took the suggestion to ride the ferry, would highly recommend this mode of transportation!

The ferry from San Francisco to Vallejo is great. It is fairly inexpensive especially for senior citizens and you can just sit back and relax for the hour ride. The only problem is when one of the ferries brakes down and a bus has to be substituted. Just watch the scenery go by or read the paper

The ferry is economical and worry free especially when compared to driving to San Francisco. Pay a reasonable fee and sit back and enjoy the ride. We sat outside and experienced the beautiful weather. I love it and will take it again next time I want to go to the city.

We love to spend the day at Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf. The ferry trip from Vallejo is scenic and the children love going outside to the upper deck . The ferry is always punctual and you don't have to hassle traffic into the city. Very relaxing.

The relaxed style of travel can't be beat, and you will always find a seat. It it pricey and takes an entire hour one-way, but totally worth it if I-80 is backed up (which is often these days).

It is not the cheapest way to get to the City. It is the best way though. What's not great about a boat ride with a bar? Took the Ferry to Pier 1 to go to a Giants game last year. It was one of those still, warm summer days. Sat outside over and back. Just awesome.
