We took the ferry today for the first time. I may actually go to SF more often now. Very comfortable seats, not crammed together, plenty of elbow and leg room and wifi. You also have the opportunity to do some great sightseeing, we even saw a dolphin on the way back. We bought day passes which was really nice, $24.... More

There are a number of ferries you can use to get to/from SF. This week we drove from Walnut Creek to Vallejo and took the boat to the Ferry Bldg to go out to lunch and do some grocery shopping. The trip takes about an hour and there are a number for very comfortable seats as well as an open... More

I rode my bike to the Vallejo Ferry building. The ticket booth was closed so I got tickets right at the gate (bring cash). They have a nice place to park your bike by the Bar. I got a beer and enjoyed the beautiful trip outside on the deck.

We take the ferry to sf as often as possible. Comfortable seats, great view, snacks for adults and children. You can drop at either ferry building or fisherman a warf. Great way to ride through San Pablo bay too!

My wife, daughter and granddaughter had stayed in Napa with friends to watch 4th of July Eve fireworks from their back yard. We decided to take the ferry into San Francisco the morning of the 4th to have lunch at Fishermen's Wharf and to spend the day at the Ferry Building and Pier 39 areas. The pier in Vallejo was... The Baylink from Vallejo to San Francisco was great. It saved a great amount of time instead of being stuck in rush hour traffic , paying bridge tolls and trying to find a parking spot. The return fee is also reasonable and you will actually be saving a good amount of money. You can enjoy the scenery or a nap... More

Now operating under the official name of San Francisco Bay Ferry, there is no better way to travel between Vallejo and San Francisco. The traffic around the Bay Area is horribly congested, not that safe, and the time it takes to travel from San Francisco's downtown area to Vallejo via a car with two people in it - could take...
