This is a 100 year old restored theatre that I went to in the 60's. It has been restored to be a beautiful theatre. It has things happening there a lot of nights during the week from famous singers to old movies to blues concerts. There is usually wine and beer available.

The Theatre stood vacant for many years but remodeling restored the beautiful interior to house a modern taste for musical events most weekends and Wednesday's Ramble.

We are semi-regulars at the Empress for live music. We love live music. We love the Empress. We love the fact that they have a bar, which is unusual in such venues. When we lived in Antioch we had El Campanil. Now that we reside in Vallejo, we have the Empress. It is a wonderful experience! There is a "regular"... More

History is important in Vallejo. We have a lot of it and it has gifted us with some glowing examples of the value of preserving history. I recently attended a live boxing event at the Empress Theater that was put on by the PAL boxing organization in Vallejo. This was a well done, well-prepared-for event that showcase what a wonderful... More

The Empress Theatre is 103 years old, renovated in 2006/2007. Since re-opening in 2008, the Empress has brought in some amazing local and regional talent. Musicians from the Bay Area, National and International, documentarians, Bay Area Stage Productions for stage plays, the San Francisco Chamber Orchestra, the Vallejo Symphony, benefit concerts for many good causes. We have a fantastic theatre... More

Beautiful old theater in the heart of old town Vallejo. We went to see a friends play last weekend and were pleasantly charmed at the quaint location. Look forward to seeing another event there again.

This is a fun place to hang out, especially on Wednesday nights, when local entertainment is featured. The Empress Theater offers comedy acts on some Friday nights, and a variety of entertainment on some weekends. The concession stand, which offers wine and beer, is very pricey.

The remodeled Empress has had some impressive music the past year at very reasonable prices! The core musicians are extremely talented and have great stage presence. Check out their schedule!
