Greeted at the door & seated outside, we enjoyed mix of golfers & locals out for a bite to eat and the fabulous landscape, Green Course & mountains beyond! The food was good, the service was a little spotty(Long wait for refills), but still a good value for the money spent!

Wow. How can such a great course have some poor managment/service. We played Gray's Crossing the same week (few miles apart) and they treated everyone like they were members. Old Greenwood treated you like you were an inconvenience. Need a new manager to change the culture. If not, this will be another great course struggling to make ends meet.

We loved everything about our experience at Old Greenwood! Very nice pro shop with fantastic customer service! The course was in great shape and is fair from all tees. Jack gets us with the greens!! The pin placements were challenging! We played 3 days in a row! The local members were very nice and friendly, too. Just an overall great... More

Jack has designed a beautiful mountain course. Old Greenwood includes beautiful vistas while challenging the golfer with a variety of shots. There is no trickery, just a honest challenge.

Everything at this course is fantastic except course time management. We played on a Friday. In a shrinking market, you would think the #1 priority once customers on are on course is to speed or expedite play. We literally waited on every shot during this 5 hour plus round. There were holes where there were 4 -4some on the same... More

Always in perfect condition, this is my favorite course in the area. Not an easy course to play so think twice if you are a beginner. A little on the expensive side but most courses in this area are. Gorgeous scenery and friendly staff its worth the price. September is the best month to visit thr Lake Tahoe area!

...though I wasn't sure why it was "Cart Path Only". This added quite some time to the round. Also, no facility for food/drink after the 9th.... despite this would probably play it again.

Kids were a little rambunctious, but the staff is so friendly and nice, that we didn't feel too bad about our poorly behaved children. The pool is so kid friendly and it made our afternoons very restful and enjoyable.

This Truckee course is well designed and not for beginners. Be sure to select a tee that is appropriate for your level so that you, as well as those behind you, can enjoy the day. Prices are variable but you can usually snag a deal if you are a member of the NCGA.

My partner and I come to the Tahoe area once a year and play 4 or 5 course in the Truckee area. Old Greenwood stands out by far, as our worst experience on a very nice course. Instead of offering a quality golf experience at a fairly expensive 150 dollars, it seems management is more concerned with cramming as many... More
