We happened to be in town saw this event listed at our hotel (not at Northstar). Glad we went! A great selection of beer vendors and good musicians. Lots of people. Parking was a little tight. The resort was big, but we didn't partake in anything outside of this annual event.

Ski in and out. Great village. Friendly people. Nice European ski experience in north America. It is our default destination in the winter.

Cute shops, love going to Mikuni's for sushi while visiting there. Fun activities and local events during the summer to attend.

My son and I took a day trip to Northstar-at-Tahoe using the Bay Area Ski Bus on3/17/14. We had a great day on the mountain even though the weather was a little warm for March. The trails were well-marked and groomed, the terrain parks were awesome, the scenery was beautiful, and the food at the lodge was very good. All... More

A nice ski mountain. Helpful, courteous staff. A heck of a long walk in your boots from parking or shuttle drop off to the gondola! The long walk I imagine, was designed to make you pass through the cute little village with some of the most expensive food you'll find. On mountian food: I can't say too muach, as it... More

Northstar has something for everyone in the winter. A diversity of ski/snow board terrain. Free use of the ice skating rink with inexpensive skate rentals or bring your own. Free s'mores (see their website). Lots of eateries, a movie theater and shopping. In addition, the Ritz Carlton is on the mountain with ski in and ski out services and many... More

Skiing is quite good here - have been several times, but the parking is terrible. Long walks, stairs and even using their shuttle or being dropped off you walk and walk and walk and go up stairs to get to any lift or gondola. I like to hike - but not in ski boots....... Prefer other north shore resorts.

My spouse and I just finished a winter season on the Bear Mountain Ski Patrol and decided to get away to North Tahoe. Northstar was far the best resort and conditions we found for the area. It is my spouse's new favorite for Tahoe. We will be back the new opportunity.

If you are looking for the modern ski village and mountain fit for every family member, than this is it. If you are looking for the best skiing and riding Tahoe has to offer, head over to Alpine or Squaw
