Northstar at Tahoe is the family resort in Tahoe. They are owned by Vail Resorts who manages ski areas like no other. Very safe and easily accessed Northstar offers family skiing and riding that has a little of everything. Great snowparks. Snowmaking to make sure runs are good everyday. Fantastic on mountain dining at the Zephyr lodge. Golf in the... More

Whether you ski or bike or just like to go out for a great meal and shop, the Northstar offers a beautiful village with plenty of activities. There is live music many weekends, ice skating in the winter and roller skating in the summer -- free if you have your own skates.

Great ski/snowboard school and instructors. Fun little mogul section near the bottom main lift. Want to back and ride some more of the deep blue runs.

Northstar is a completely renovated full service, ski resort. The Village has shopping and restaurants that will delight you, PlumpJack is one of my favorites. Condos are available to rent but are quite small in design and not great for a family unless you get enough bedrooms, The sofa bed is in the Living Room and very, very cramped space.

The chair lifts and gondola was only open Fri, Sat Sun until June 26. Lucky for us, we were there on Friday. Every one of the chair lift personnel, and I mean every person was cheerful, inquiring about the visit, did we have a good walk, etc. They were unfailingly friendly. We took a total of 6 lifts by the... More

Had a great time! Northstar village is my favorite. It may not have the views of squaw, but it's cozy, comfortable, and much more to do.

I am so impressed with this place. The staff is great. I am here in the summer so it is a little dead. I would love to come back in the winder. There is a ice rink in the middle of the resort that is a roller skating rink in the summer.
