Beautiful area with amazing mountains and valleys. A quaint place with shopping, food and even a Starbucks.

5:30 Saturday Night -- Jalisco Taco's closed - Shops closed. I imagine that when building this they were imagining a Vail, Co. but it just isn't like that --- pretty deserted - had a wedding going on... just nothing really to do if you are a single adult.

Northstar is a world class ski resort as well as one difficult Tough Mudder course. The hotel, shops, restaurants are really nice and the hikes, views, etc. are great! A good place to do a Tough Mudder race in California

This is a tough sporting event for both participants and spectators at beautiful Northstar. Most everything in the village was closed but it was a happening once you took the gondola to Big Springs and saw all the obstacles participants had to perform in this test of athletic endurance. The gondola ride itself is beautiful and worth the price of... More

If you are looking for everything in one place - you have found it here. Shops, restaurants and activities are all within easy proximity with a skating rink as the central focus. Don't miss visiting the Village.

Loved this resort and ski village. Great vacation with our family. Excellent skiing- lots of variety and choices for runs to match anyone's appetite. We were there in April 2014 after a winter of minimal snow fall and the conditions were great- all lifts open and lines not bad at all. The village was very quiet-- which was surprising- but... More

If you are an advanced skier. This is not your place. If you are beginner or intermediate, they have excellent grooming and a very good terrain park. It's usually pretty crowded on weekends. Lookout mountain has excellent tree skiing, very few skiers use that for tree skiing. On a weekday, after a snowfall you will be by yourself. Overall a... More

We happened to be in town saw this event listed at our hotel (not at Northstar). Glad we went! A great selection of beer vendors and good musicians. Lots of people. Parking was a little tight. The resort was big, but we didn't partake in anything outside of this annual event.

Ski in and out. Great village. Friendly people. Nice European ski experience in north America. It is our default destination in the winter.
