I have to say that I left Northstar being fairly unimpressed with the place. Maybe in the early-season the runs are smoother and less strewn with rocks but for me the place merely amounted to one rock filled, divot riddled trail after another. Some of the runs like Big Trees and Live Wire start out promising with groomed-like surfaces and... More

I've been mountain biking for years, but a couple hours with the ladies on Friday evening have taken my skills to the next level. Do NOT be intimidated by those "features" again. Great coaching and encouragement on the downhill trails and I am only sad the season is nearly over

I went to Northstar bike park on 8/2/14. It was a fantastic time for all involved. The runs were fun and every skill level was represented. The staff are so friendly and happy. It makes a huge difference when everyone is smiling. As if the cycling fun wasn't enough, their on mountain food was fantastic. Pricing was par for the... More

Great course, accomodations, friendly people, fine restaurants and watching your ball soar in the altitude make for a memorable experience.

i prefer to climb up and come down so that is not that steep. if you like the sport this is a great way to just do less work and get some help to go up. What a great idea.

Some friends and I spent a day at the Northstar downhill circuit and rode everything from blues to double-diamonds. There was a good variety of trails, from fast and flowy moderates to some jump-fests diamonds to some technical butt-clenchers. The trails were generally very well maintained, and while a few key runs were closed due to storm damage, we had... More

My family and I (wife and 3 kids aged 13, 15, 17) took the 101 course with David and had the highlight of our Northern California vacation. The experience was unforgettable and the staff was top notch and very helpful. It was challenging enough for everyone without being intimidating. One of the top travel experiences I've ever had.

My son wanted to go mountain biking but never did it before (we live in the midwest with lots of flat land). Hooked up with the bike folks at Northstar and he had a great time. Lessons are available for beginners. Trails are well maintained and well marked. Almost impossible to get lost. Staff was very friendly, never felt rushed... More
