Great trail rides and lessons! My son has been taking group lesson and is having a wonderful time. The instructors seem to really enjoy working with the kids and helping them learn how to ride safely and have fun too. He has been able to take a few trail rides as well and really enjoys it.

My husband and I booked an hour and a half long trail ride for our anniversary. Mick was our tour guide. She was super friendly and very knowledgeable. We had a private, relaxing ride up and down easy terrain, and we were even able to see a few deer. Our horses were extremely well cared for, and very well trained.... More

The horses are well cared for and the guides know what they are doing. Miles of nearby trails to explore. I've been to places where the horses are run down ... This is not one of them. As a former horse owner I'm very picky about where I ride, and this is one of the few places I will go.... More

We arrived early and had fun visiting with the staff, horses, and other animals--such as a pig, chicks, and rabbits. Our guide Poppy, was very nice and took us on a very scenic trail ride over streams and up into the mountains. We saw herds of deer and eagles along the way, and the horses were very responsive and well-cared... More

Went on a 2 hour trail ride with Marty as my guide. This stable takes the rider's skill set into consideration when planning a ride, so if you are a more advanced rider they will take you on more challenging trails. My horse Blackjack was unflappable, but he definitely wasn't a plodder with an iron mouth and sides like you... More

My family and I had a lot of fun on the 1.5 hour ride. Our guide, Leigh, is a sweet young woman who's headed to Dartmouth this fall. Marty, a member of the family that owns the place, went on part of the ride as well. He's a low key, charming young man. He's also a bona fide cowboy, and... More

I wanted to learn as much as I could quickly in 6 1 hr private lessons. Two lessons in and I can walk, trot, post, go around a slalom course, tack, groom, pick hooves and I LOVE it! I love Jill and I love the two beautiful horses I've ridden. And I love looking at all the horses and their... More

Deb & Jenn were excellent; provided plenty of instruction before our ride- focus was safety; Their passion and care for the animals is very apparant. Specialized scenic trails abound. The photos they took willbe a great memory.

My husband and I spent the weekend in Truckee and we wanted to go riding. I chose Piping Rock because the pictures of their horses and riding trails looked really cool....and well...it is really cool! We had a great time. The owner has a keen eye for choosing her horses, they are beautiful and well cared for too which is... More

We spend a couple of weeks in the Tahoe/Truckee area every summer and are constantly looking for something fun to do. A friend was sending their kids to pony camp, so we sent our two along with them, and the kids had a blast! We found ourselves staying late everyday after to camp to feed to horses carrots and we...
