It sounds great from the website. We came on a Saturday. Of course there were crowds. Lodge is small, unimpressive and crowded. Restaurant has bad menu of fast food burgers, chili and chili fries as well as nachos. The bathrooms are awful. Old and not cared for. They said they had mini snowmobiling. That turned out to be one old... More

Best and least expensive West of Truckee Tahoe ski area. This is a baby mountain which stinks for adults or experienced skiiers but a great value with great teaching facilities for young kids.

This is a great spot for little ones, mine were in the 3-5 age group. The sledding required little help, as they have "magic carpets" to get them up from the bottom of the hill and the sled "carousel" was a huge favorite. We didn't try the ski school but it sounded like a good option. We would go back... More

Really nice place to have Skii leassons, also some nice activities for the kds available. Rental costs a bit high, so if you have your gear will save a lot of money. But classes are definitely reasonable.

We went here for a day at the snow for non-serious snow-goers (meaning we don't go to the snow regularly enough). We went off-peak and pre-purchased our tickets online (recommended for discount) so it was very quiet but that was perfect. I was hoping for a few more activities but for a 3 and 5 year old they enjoyed it.... More

We were hoping to find somewhere for ski beginners that had a little snow. Our kids are under 12 & never skied before. Soda Springs is a great location for the beginner, the staff there were engaging, patient and very helpful. Mike in the ski rental department should get a raise, he has a great sense of humor, hospitality and... More

We went on Christmas day to go specifically for the snow tubing. The staff was friendly all around and helpful. We were lucky that we got a few good slides before the que grew too long. Try to wear shoes with grip as to not slide on the conveyor belt taking you to the top of the slope. $30 for... More

It was very crowded when we visited on the Christmas Day. Had to stand in a long line to get the tickets. We got a Planet Kids ticket for our son. The staff was very particular about how we display the tickets on our jackets, however, they just ignored when I asked them if they had a map. There is... More

It’s really hard to rate this place cause I do love the facilities and that they have a lot of play areas for little kids (under 12) separate from the grown-ups but the hand this place is so disorganized that it’s also a turn off. Firstly we got lost going in cause the sign for the place was so small... More

Well, we had a good time despite not being able to tube (after paying $60 for tubing). We were there when it was snowing really bad and after paying for the tube town area got to the top and the kids didn't move. At all. I went up and dragged them down a few times, but it was just not... More
