Well, we had a good time despite not being able to tube (after paying $60 for tubing). We were there when it was snowing really bad and after paying for the tube town area got to the top and the kids didn't move. At all. I went up and dragged them down a few times, but it was just not... More

Visited the "kids-planet" section of the place recently, hoping for a fun day out with a 1 year old and a 6 year old(Before visiting we checked the website and it appeared that everything was operational). Unfortunately, it was not fun for either child. The tube carousels appeared to be loaded/unloaded in irregular intervals and were boring even for the... More

I went to planet kids with my 15 Month old daughter who's barely walking and still had to pay the 30$ entry even though there was no age appropriate entertainment for her. The tube ride was too fast and uncomfortable for her, the manual tube hill was also too scary for her and she cannot ski or snowboard so I... More

Went there with two young kids at the end of the 2013 ski seasons. The place wasn't crowded at all, so that was a big plus. We went to the planet kids area two days in a row, where the kids were able to practice skiing and snowboarding. It was the end of the season, so the snow wasn't very... More

The parking lot is just a black top, no lines, so kinda just park where everyone is parking. The Planet Kids area is pretty nice. It states ages 8 and under BUT, I believe its more for children aged 6 and under. It is quite tame and hills aren’t very steep. I loved with the $25 fee that it included... More

the place has fun activiites for kids. There is tubing, skiing lessons, tube carousel. Getting a tube can be a long wait and some people hand on to theirs for hours at length. we had to wait for about 20 mins to get one from someone who was done with theirs. if you are going over a long weekend ex... We arrived at the resort about noon on Sunday, Jan 20th. There was no one directing traffic, so we were circling with a bunch of other people looking for a spot to park. We then walked to the lodge. It had poor signage on where to go and what to do. We found the ticket window which had a long... More

We picked this place because of the great price - 25 dollars for all day tubing. Yes, all day but you wouldn't have much time on the tubing itself. There were long lines everywhere, like getting tickets, going tubing and getting food. Expect the wait there for at least 30 minutes for each line. But the most disappointing part is... More

Soda Springs is a reasonably priced, well-managed resort that caters to families with children or beginner skiers/snowboards. Lots to do: tubing skiing/snowboarding/planet kids. Definitely check it out if you are looking for a resort in Tahoe.

The tubing is great for ages 2-7 if they are just getting comfortable with the snow. This is our second time at Soda Springs and the first time we just went tubing. My boys are now age 7 and 10 and they want something faster. We rented skis and carried our skis up about 30 feet and glided down until... More
