Great wines, but at serious prices

This small winery has some great reds, but at higher than average prices. The Anarchy and Monarch blends were outstanding, but were $40 each per bottle.

I appreciate this winemakers passion, but his wines were not for us. We did not enjoy a single one on the tasting menu and did not care for the too loud rock music and tacky decor.

wines were ok, nothing blew me away. We only went because they are one of the few places in the area that are open after 5 (they close at 6).

Having been coming to Cypher Winery for years. Before it became Cypher and would have joined their wine club, but we live in Arizona and they don't ship there. So whenever we are driving to Northern California we make it a point of stopping here. Love their wines. Love the Zin, and the Anarachy, TNT oh yes can't forget Monarchy,... More

Cypher is one of my very favorites. I plan my trips in the area around going to this winery. I'm a member and anticipate my shipments. There are a couple that aren't my favorites but in general I've really loved almost everything I've had here. The 2011 Mouvedre is my current favorite though of course their Zin's are beautiful. Drinking... More

The tasting room was ok and wines we tasted were just ok. We did not plan on buying any of their wines, but the couple we were with saw another wine on a shelf they were interested in, but the wife didn't want to buy it without tasting it. So the guy (I think his name was Christian) that was... More

This place is the bomb. Christian made our day by allowing us to taste, even though they were supposed to be closed. Ben toured us through the wines, and they were unreal. Big, jammy zins, made so well. Do yourself a favor, treat yourself to this beautiful tasting room and enjoy their amazing wines. Thanks guys for a most memorable... More
