I am limousine driver. Rotta was a nice place to go. It is was good. The new winemaker is now general manager too. The wine is wonderful. My clients like the personal knowledgeable service too. And...I really love their new chef made and inspired weekend lunches. Give it try. Please note I have their on business, with friends, and solo.

Worth the drive from Santa Barbara or San Francisco. The Syrah, Zinfindel and their sav blanc/ chardonny blend is awesome! Beautiful surroundings. Great tasting menu.

$10 tastings, waived if you buy 2 bottles. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Their wines are nice and of average prices, but nothing too impressive worth buying except for a bottle of Black Monukka, which we realized after finishing it that it tastes very close to Madeira (~$20 for full bottle at Bevmo). Overall a worthy stop along 46 West.

This was our third time tasting at Rotta. They are one of the oldest wineries in the area, and have some great wines, especially the zinfandel. We bought a bottle of the Siot and are looking forward to drinking it.

We went to Rotta in 2011 and loved it. Fantastic servers and fabulous wines. We put it as #2 on our list for this trip. Went back and tastings had jumped to $10 each. The college age servers were raving about the new wine maker. We tried the Siot label wines and thought it was bland. The only 2 wines... More

We were referred to Rotta Winery by another winery when we said we liked sherry. We did the wine tasting and were blown away by the Black Monukka. It's in a beautiful bottle and we had to buy some. It is one of the oldest wineries in the area and the person working that afternoon gave us some great recommendations... More

They are combining cold weather grapes with warm weather grapes to produce some excellent white wines. But the Zin's are amazing! 70 year old vines producing some of the best Zin's I have ever tasted. They sell out quick so buy as much as you can when there. I barrel tasted a Pinot Gri that was excellent. Their chardonnay. Sav... More

My wife and I were impressed with and bought a few bottles of the Sherry. They rest of the wine didn't really jump out and grab me but the did have a plentiful group of wines for the tasting. However, the tasting room was kind of cramped which put a little damper on the visit. We will probably go back... More

We have been members here for a couple years and joined because is just two amazing wines.....the Estate Zinfandel and the Black Monnuka are without a doubt the most amazing selections in all of California for us. We live in Santa Ynez in the heart of SB County wine country and still love love love Rotta's Zin and Monnuka. Well... More

Paso is now our wine country destination after Solvang got so commercial. And Rotta is a "must go" whever we go there. We've been wine club members from the first visit. Great people - Gale is terrific, as is everyone else - and yes, the Black Monukka is as good as you read about in the other reviews. Definitely worth... More
