Not overly thrilled with the quality of most of the Old Town restaurant food, but the shops are cute and the town is easy to walk around and enjoy.

Old Town is a strip of stores and restaurants paralleling I-15 in Temecula. We went there twice. Once was on Mother's Day. It was very hot (over 100 degrees) and jam-packed. Very crowded due to the wine and balloon festival. Stiill had a great time. We ate downtown at TGIF. Weather was great. Other travelers were very friendly and also gave good ideas.

Old Town Temecula certainly breaks up your travelling day and it is a pleasant stop. Many storefronts and quite appealing overall. We enjoyed the original Temecula Olive Oil Company and purchased some olives there. The area is easy to walk and appears quite safe. Spending a few hours here is probably sufficient when planning your day.

We didn't spend a lot of time here because we wanted to work in the vineyards in this drop dead gorgeous town. There were interesting boutiques and restaurants. Wish we would have booked a nights stay in this very pretty area of CA.
