Well, we've been here one time before and thought we'd give it an other chance. The first time, while sipping wine and walking around, the snooty cashiers and bartenders looked at us as if we had the plague and were not worthy of their time. "Well", I thought, "maybe they are having a bad day". So we gave it another... More

By appointment only, this secluded spot is hard to find, but worth the effort. Due to intolerant neighbors and annoying county regulations, the lack of signage makes it a challenge to find. However, the drive through the community is enjoyable and gives you a hint of the wealth to come. It was a gorgeous day, so we sat around the... More

If you like personal service and zero tolerance for immature out of control drunks, this is your place. Don't get me wrong, this isn't a snooty place . . . afterall they are usually playing AC/DC or something similar. Thing is, it is for folks that want to enjoy wine, maybe over indulge . . . but people that know... More

The wines here were not exactly how we wanted to start our temecula wine trip. They start out drinkable and only got worse from there. The staff was knowledgable but it did not make up for the bad tasting wine.

I chose Briar Rose because of the charming photos and it seemed smaller, less commercialized. This is NOT a place for a large group to visit. They want you to make reservations because the wine tasting is very personalized and unrushed. There is no pressure to buy. This would be a great visit for two to six people. Chris, the... More

My daughter plans a mother's day limo tour of the Temecula wine trail almost every year. Our group usually includes 12-14 women. We try to visit 2 wineries before lunch and 2 after. We made a reservation to visit Briar Rose after lunch however, got a bit behind in our schedule and had not yet had our lunch, so we... More

Not a great experience. The greeter/check in person was curt if not rude. The price for six tastes was expensive -- $25 or $30 for the two menu choices. Tasting room was too cool and had loud music playing. Wines were OK but not great. Several were made with grapes from the Russian River and Alexander Valley areas, not local.... More

Very friendly and helpful staff. Reservations needed. Wine tasting starts on the hour and you go from the waiting area to the tasting area. You get to sit down! Whoo hoo!!! Buildings are designed in a Sleeping Beauty style. Very quaint. Will go again.

My husband and I visited in December for a mid-week tasting. They are located in a residential area, so reservations are required for tasting. The reservation process was very easy. While we were there, the server explained that the reservations are intended to help them regulate parking so that they don't disturb their neighbors. Their tastings have a set menu,... More

We travel to Temecula a few times a year from Colorado and had been to Briar Rose a couple years ago. Because they require reservations and are off the beaten path they are not one of our regular stops. On our first visit we had a wonderful time and ended up purchasing a few bottles of thier unique Talking Frog... More
