The winery was never open when I wanted to visit. Personnel was not friendly on the phone and seemed to be annoyed when asking questions so I decided to drop my membership which took four months because she claimed that I never sent email. I am sorry a phone call should work. So it took me four months to cancell... More

We arrived at the winery on time for our reservation but no one around in the winery area. We finally tried the "Wine Institute" and were sent back to the winery. There we paid for the wine tasting (someone came over from the Institute area). The tastings were expensive ($15 for one and $25 for the other). We were then... More

What a great winery. We decided to make a reservation and check the winery out since it was 'reservation only.' The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about their wines. We loved the beautiful view. The zinfandel and pinot noir were our favorites so we picked up a bottle of each. Great place to visit.

Although I didn't care for many of the wines we tasted, the garden area was really a pretty place for pictures. The guy that served us our wine was from England and very friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the experience, but went back to buy a bottle in the gift shop and no one was there. So I guess they... More

Well, we've been here one time before and thought we'd give it an other chance. The first time, while sipping wine and walking around, the snooty cashiers and bartenders looked at us as if we had the plague and were not worthy of their time. "Well", I thought, "maybe they are having a bad day". So we gave it another... More

By appointment only, this secluded spot is hard to find, but worth the effort. Due to intolerant neighbors and annoying county regulations, the lack of signage makes it a challenge to find. However, the drive through the community is enjoyable and gives you a hint of the wealth to come. It was a gorgeous day, so we sat around the... More

If you like personal service and zero tolerance for immature out of control drunks, this is your place. Don't get me wrong, this isn't a snooty place . . . afterall they are usually playing AC/DC or something similar. Thing is, it is for folks that want to enjoy wine, maybe over indulge . . . but people that know... More

The wines here were not exactly how we wanted to start our temecula wine trip. They start out drinkable and only got worse from there. The staff was knowledgable but it did not make up for the bad tasting wine.

I chose Briar Rose because of the charming photos and it seemed smaller, less commercialized. This is NOT a place for a large group to visit. They want you to make reservations because the wine tasting is very personalized and unrushed. There is no pressure to buy. This would be a great visit for two to six people. Chris, the... More

My daughter plans a mother's day limo tour of the Temecula wine trail almost every year. Our group usually includes 12-14 women. We try to visit 2 wineries before lunch and 2 after. We made a reservation to visit Briar Rose after lunch however, got a bit behind in our schedule and had not yet had our lunch, so we... More
