We have been to dozens of wine tastings across the U.S. Costs usually range from free to $10 a flight. Briar Rose charged the two of us $43.20. I had 5 wines; hubby had 6. There were no crackers to cleanse the palate nor did they rinse the glass out after each tasting. The regular girl was out sick and... More

Our daughter and son-in-law decided to take us on a winery tour of theTemecula wine country and our first visit was to Briar Rose Winery. We were struck by the peaceful ambiance and very well manicured greenery, with a very large olive tree in the center of the park like area. The wine tasting is conducted at tables that surround... Intimate, with beautiful garden and grounds. Outdoor and indoor seated tasting area. History of building and the architectural and name tie to Disney interesting. Received minimal service as the only Bar tender/server spent most of time talking with one couple throughout our whole visit. However, we did enjoy the white merlot and did take a bottle home. Probably won't go... More

We had an okay time here. Nice reds and decent service. They're a few years away from a decent grape but coming along nicely. I'm thinking they're one of the wineries to watch.

We were impressed by the garden and the surroundings, and were nicely greeted by one staff member with a charming English accent... Well, in fact we were rebuffed and asked to come back later in the afternoon (probably due to a flurry of tourist limo tours, that day). Later that day, we returned, we saw, we tasted wine, but we... I've always liked their red wines here but it's been 4 years since I was in Temecula and I re-visited Briar Rose on a Friday Morning. Quite a bit has changed. They have added an outdoor sit down area in the garden to the inside tasting room (also sit down) and several whites have been added Their red wines are... More

My boyfriend and I had made a reservation to see this winery at the recommendation of a friend. We just loved it! So romantic, too. We sat on a bench that overlooked the hills before we left, and it was so memorable for the both of us. We sat at the bar when we got there and tasted many of... More

The winery was never open when I wanted to visit. Personnel was not friendly on the phone and seemed to be annoyed when asking questions so I decided to drop my membership which took four months because she claimed that I never sent email. I am sorry a phone call should work. So it took me four months to cancell... More

We arrived at the winery on time for our reservation but no one around in the winery area. We finally tried the "Wine Institute" and were sent back to the winery. There we paid for the wine tasting (someone came over from the Institute area). The tastings were expensive ($15 for one and $25 for the other). We were then... More

What a great winery. We decided to make a reservation and check the winery out since it was 'reservation only.' The staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about their wines. We loved the beautiful view. The zinfandel and pinot noir were our favorites so we picked up a bottle of each. Great place to visit.
