Last year staff over cooked and burned and presented little variety. This year new menu items make it attractive. My lunch was mch better. Whoever is running the Food stuff there is doing great...considering this is a Beachfront food stand

We got a tip from a local and visited Meeks Bay beach, and we're so glad we did. We stuck to the Indian side, which cost $10 per car/day, but it was money well spent. Sandy beach, moderately crowded, and amazing swimming area. If you swim laps, there's even a place to do that.

Beach - great, one of the nicest shores for swimming/sunning. Facilities - OK, not special, but nice to have close to the beach. Marina - Ummm - time to upgrade to the modern era. Can't believe the reservation thing is so casual, in this day/age. People plot their destinations weeks in advance, or longer - having to wait until the... More

West Shore "BestShore" sentiments apply to Meeks Bay beach and resort. LOcated about 10 miles north of Emerald Bay on State 89, Meeks Bay Resort is a seasonal beach open only during the summer months. It is one of the very few sandy beaches on the Lake. Meeks Creek provides a harbor for watercraft with attendant facilities(inc. rentals of paddle... More

You cannot plan a vacation if you can't be sure you are getting a slip for your boat, and they won't reserve in advance for you. You can't plan a day on a rental boat because they won't reserve one for you in advance. Most times they don't answer the phone. They need new management!!

This is a small beach on the western side of Lake Tahoe. We arrived here in the afternoon to find that parking was limited and also full (costs $7 if you find a spot), so we parked on the road. However, if you do get a spot, you can use the ticket for free parking on all the parks on... More

We were planning a happy hour cruise from 4-6PM this past Saturday. Called a few days ahead to reserve a boat and was told they don't reserve boats except for half days. They told me they usually had boats available at that time, but not guaranteed. I called around 2:30 and again asked about renting a boat from 4-6PM and... More

This beach, like most beaches at Lake Tahoe, is at a beautiful location. Unfortunately, it's close to the road that goes around the lake and you always hear road noise. Also, the water gets deep close to shore, giving this beach its dark blue color and some of the coldest water at the lake. Beware that this water isn't for... More

This is a very relaxing place in general, but I've always liked coming to Meeks Bay. My family has been comoing here for Summer vacations for generations. Back in the day, it was cheap camping, but now is more of a tradition. There is a small parking fee to park near the beach, but it is nominal.
