Nicest Public Beach in Tahoe for a large group

Nice beach, easy parking. Good if you are meeting up with people. At this time of the year the water was very nice.

Beautiful, wide beach beside the azure blue water! Not far from South Lake Tahoe, popular but not too crowded. Highly recommend a stop!

What a Beautiful Place! The crystal clear blue water & nice white sandy beach... we also were very lucky to have the perfect weather. We just went for the day but they have cabins and a separate campground right next to the beach/recreation area. There general store has all your basics for a camp store. Think this is still owned... Staying in South Lake Tahoe, this beach is approx 10 miles further round (clockwise), past Pope beach. Street parking is available if you get there earlier enough (though at the moment there are roadworks going on so even more so limited) otherwise for $10 you can park in the resort. From here its a 1 - 2 min flat walk... More

Get there before 10 am. Seriously... Otherwise there is very little parking. There is sand on the beach, but as soon as you walk in the lake there are pebbles and rocks and they will cut and bruise your feet, so bring water shoes or sandals. There are paddle boards and kayaks for rent. There are also benches and picnic... More

A beautiful windless day and we paddled down the Rubicon Point and back. Midweek in mid October a must SUP location.

Last year staff over cooked and burned and presented little variety. This year new menu items make it attractive. My lunch was mch better. Whoever is running the Food stuff there is doing great...considering this is a Beachfront food stand

We got a tip from a local and visited Meeks Bay beach, and we're so glad we did. We stuck to the Indian side, which cost $10 per car/day, but it was money well spent. Sandy beach, moderately crowded, and amazing swimming area. If you swim laps, there's even a place to do that.

Beach - great, one of the nicest shores for swimming/sunning. Facilities - OK, not special, but nice to have close to the beach. Marina - Ummm - time to upgrade to the modern era. Can't believe the reservation thing is so casual, in this day/age. People plot their destinations weeks in advance, or longer - having to wait until the... More

West Shore "BestShore" sentiments apply to Meeks Bay beach and resort. LOcated about 10 miles north of Emerald Bay on State 89, Meeks Bay Resort is a seasonal beach open only during the summer months. It is one of the very few sandy beaches on the Lake. Meeks Creek provides a harbor for watercraft with attendant facilities(inc. rentals of paddle... More
