There was plenty of parking. the tour was very interesting showing the lifestyle of the rich and famous in the 20's. Wonderful architecture and lovely grounds with many outbuildings, all with a story. Away from the hustle and bustle of Lakeside tourists.

Located at Ed Z'Berg Sugar Pine Point State Park down the West Shore of Lake Tahoe, the Ehrman Mansion, also known as Pine Lodge by the Hellman Family, is a somewhat hidden treasure. The house tour is marvelous, but even if you can't make a tour a walk around the estate grounds is a worthy endeavor. Huge beautiful pine and... More

We had so much fun hiking the trails through this park and past the mansion. Had 3 yr old and 10 month old in a stroller and truly enjoyed the scenery and playing by the water. We hiked over to the campground section and back to the mansion which took a while with stroller and kids, but the weather was... More

We got here just too late to sign up for the last tour of the day but ran across to the mansion where another tour guest kindly let us in (we did pay after the tour!). This was very much a contrast to Vikingsholme, being a much more formal house. Nevertheless it was still interesting as were the grounds and... More

...of life back in the days of lake-side estates. Beautiful house, but I wish they did a better job with the gardens.

Visited during our drive around Lake Tahoe. Well worth the stop, even if you don't go on the tour of the house . . .highly recommend it tnough. Parking fee is $10, as this is a state park. Absolutely worth it as you can sit and enjoy the views and take a dip in the lake, if you'd like. Just... More

The Pine Lodge (or Ehrman mansion) provides a glimpse to early 20th century life at Lake Tahoe. The well preserved interior is a must see (if a bit pricey). The grounds and out buildings are also worth a visit. After you are done with the tour you can either hike along General Creek or, if it warm enough, take a... More

We sat on the front porch of the lovely Pine Lodge and listened to the history of the Hellman-Ehrman family. The tour was great, the house is in excellent condition and furnishings and art are appropriate to the time (1903-04), they have great craftsman touches, excellent woodwork, antiques, and views of Lake Tahoe that are breathtaking. An easy, not too... More

Interesting, historic house and grounds built by some of the big movers and shakers of early California. Multi-storied "cabin", kids house, boathouse with a beautiful vintage wooden boat, etc. Tours include how the other half lived- servants.
