Came here with our 12 year old son and 9 year old daughter to do the ropes course and zip lines. They had a blast. Staff was very friendly and outgoing. Very safe environment. Amazing to watch the kids' confidence grow with each passage of the course.

Enjoyed the location (close to Tahoe City, 10 miles to Meeks Bay, Kings Beach not far, Squaw Valley about 8 miles). 1 and half mile to city 9 hole golf course. Great lap pool. Super nice hot breakfast. Quiet and relaxing. Each unit privately owned so decor varies. Staff friendly and helpful. Good for families, couples, and older people who... More

Okay, I know this is probably not fair, because they were swamped on the president's day weekend when we went to go sledding. They looked like they normally had a pretty good set up, with a nice hill, and all. But on the weekend we went, it was a MESS! I don't really know what they could have done to... More

Thank you for taking the time to express your comments and concerns. While we cannot remove all the hazards that come with the inherent risks of sledding, we are continually updating our procedures and processes to provide a sledding experience with minimal risk. The Ski and Sled Hill team actively manages risks by setting up specific areas for younger age... More

We went to Granlibakken ski in mid Dec 2013. They are very professional and helpful. We had bought group lesson for 8 people. Our instructor Cody was very patient and helpful. He spent more time then we purchased. All the staff members are knowledgeable. See you guys next year.

We stopped by to check out possibilities and it looked amazing. $15 for the sledding area all day. Looked amazing. We showed up 30 min before closing so we didn't play, but it looked very organized and safe. No need to watch out for people blindly climbing up when you are trying to go down. All climbers go on the... More

Granlibakken thanks you for your comments. We are pleased that you noticed all of our safety procedures that are in place at our sled hill. Antonio has been a valuable asset to our ski and sled hill for quite a few years, thank you for your kind words. Next time be sure to check out our Treetop Adventure Park, another... More

Ok this is a cool place but the title is misleading!! It is a tennis resort that in the winter has a hill you can learn to ski or snowboard on with a lift. I would not recommend it for anyone else that is not in their first few days of learning to do a snow sport or you never... More

Thank you for your feedback Ian. We apologize that you found our title misleading. Since we were the first ski area in the Tahoe Basin, we definitely consider ourselves a ski area. Our intimate ski hill is perfect for beginner through intermediate skiers and snowboarders, with rental shop, ski school and warming hut on the premises. Rental shop, and warming... More

This is a must for all the adventure bound people. The zip lining is awesome. There are multiple levels and challenges throughout the courses. My nine year olds did better than most adults and even did the black diamond course. The blue courses are intermediate and are really fun. If you have a fear of heights, you won't even be... More

We agree with you; the Treetop Adventure Park is ranked as the #1 activity in all of Lake Tahoe! Granlibakken is thrilled that you and your family had such a wonderful time on the course. Another option, if you don't want to deal with traffic, is to stay at Granlibakken! The Treetop Adventure Park is open all winter, as well... More

Every year 300 of my closest friends and I gather at a resort before the season starts. Granlibakken is the standard we judge all the other resorts by. From the food to the helpful staff, it is my favorite location. This year an unexpected early heavy snowfall could have caused problems but the staff handled it perfectly. I just had... More

Wow what a compliment! Granlibakken is so flattered that we are the standard in which you hold other resorts to. Our staff is one of the most outstanding parts of Granlibakken; many of our employees have been with us for almost 30 years. We are happy to hear that our staff was accommodating during the snowstorm, and that this didn’t... More

I like this place for the hiking. I've never been skiing here but the trails for hiking lead up to Page Meadows and beyond. I usually get lost but that's the point sometimes! It is just lovely here. Great for mountain biking as well.

Granlibakken is thrilled that you enjoyed our hiking trails, as we are the only resort along the Tahoe Rim Trail. Paige Meadows is one of our favorite spots, very beautiful and peaceful. The Rim Trail is extremely popular for mountain biking as well. Next time we hope you do get a chance to experience our ski and sled hill! Sledding... More

I would not consider this a ski area as it only has one hill. It is however a great place to sled especially with young kids.
