The skiing can be the best you will find anywhere in the Sierras when there is about 6 feet of natural snow. By moving around the mountain you can find all exposures so when the morning runs have too much sun you move to others that are in the shade. The main runs are just normal as you would find... More

Awesome skiing, really great mountain with great runs. The amenities and restaurants are a little dated, but the mountain makes up for it!

The three of us had our own guide who was extremely informative. Our ride was through the mountains and Truckee River. The ride had some difficult areas but that really made the ride realistic and fun. The value was great. The horses were great. We will definitely do this again there.

Unfortunately if you don't want to spend time riding a bus back and forth to Squaw Valley, then this resort is just too outdated and limited in their offering for the price. We spent $70 for lunch for three (which included on child's meal) at The Chalet and the sandwiches came with mold on the bread- we don't normally eat... More

What a beautiful place. I spent two weeks at Squaw Valley a while back and always wanted to ski Alpine Meadows. There is plenty of terrain. Perhaps not Heavenly but enough. The pure beauty of this ski area is amazing.

A bunch of girl friends and myself decided we wanted to ride during our stay a Squaw Creek. I called the front desk and they gave me two names. I called Alpine Meadows Stables first and in glad I did. They were able to give us a time for the next day and it ended up just being the three... More

Another fun ski resort that is a lot more laid back than Heavenly. Like going here to deal with less crowds. Also a great ski school with fun instructors

I love the terrain at Alpine Meadows, but ever since KSL took over, the service is sub-par and it's less of a "locals mountain", more of Squaw Valley's redheaded stepchild. I'm always getting cut off by skiers and the lifties won't even look at me (maybe because they're over a poor ski season?) But Alpine has great variety and I... More

Every ski/snowboarder has their preferred place to ride. I'm particular about how I like my runs groomed, and I have always enjoyed Alpine. There are a few flats to deal with, but thow uf you with experience will have no problems.
