Spent day here for a change from squaw valley, first time visiting this resort and absolutely loved it. Beautiful scenery, very friendly and hardly anyone on the slopes so had quite a few of the runs to ourselves. Some of the blue runs were much steeper than others in the area, but beautiful. Will definitely return. Skiied and boarded as... More

Smaller than Squaw but a good area with a more 'laid back' approach. Easy parking at resort level and some good food and drink outlets. Well worth a visit but probably one day is sufficient here.

This looked nice initially, beautiful terrain. We spent a morning ( ok, it was Saturday..., maybe a mistake there admittedly ) attempting to repair our souls with a relaxing ski. Howver, having been rudely forced off the trails before lunchtime by the excessive testosterone oozing nay catapulting unsafely all over the place( yep thank you ski patrol you were there... More

Alpine has everything without the attitude. Great skiing and staff, friendly accessible facilities. Honestly, if you find the clientele at Northstar and Squaw just too pretentious for words, head for Alpine. You'll find better skiers, nicer people, and great snow.

Ski area is nice and you park in front of the ski center. For fun people there is the Ice bar at the other side of the mountain. Only unacceptable thing is that at the ski center there is no cell coverage of AT&T nor does the free wifi works!

We went to this place to have some ski lessons as a family. It proved to be everything we were expecting. Parking was always easy, we never had issues with traffic, the queues to the lifts were never long (we visited late december) and the food facilities were reasonable. The ski school for adults and children were spot on and... More

Well groomed and empty at the end of the season on Easter Sunday. No lift queues at all. Very scenic. Limited green terrain for novices though. Food offering is basic - burgers to order were good though. $363 for 2 adults and 3 kids for a few hours of slush was too much though - Alpine, reduce your charges at... More

it's a friendly resort - I skied with new friends, locals and Aussies, Scots and Irish tourists. We're already planning a reunion next year

I have been skiing the Lake Tahoe region for over 50 years. Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley have always been two of my favorites mountains for different reasons. While they virtually sit side by side, the terrain and character of the two are very much different. Squaw has always been more of a skiers, no hold bars type of mountain.... More

Just returned from a fun ski adventure at Alpine Meadows in Tahoe City California. Beautiful mountain, lots of snow and runs for all interestes and abilities. The lodge is large, lots of tables for lunch inside and out. A great fire outside on the deck with adirondack chairs around it. Beautiful views of the mountains, lifts, and skiiers. The hours...
