We lucked out and hiked to Eagle Lake in January in 50 degree weather! There were hardly any hikers out so it was even better. Great, family friendly hike. The falls are easy to reach, and Eagle Lake is not far beyond them. Good for families, those with little hiking experience/ability, and anyone who loves spectacular scenery.

For longer hike on serene trail, continue past Eagle Lake on upper trail toward Velma Lakes. Much more physically...
