We drove up to this vista point in the evening from South Lake Tahoe. It only took about 25 minutes, and the drive was lovely. The vista itself was fantastic, with various points from which you get a great view and fantastic pics. Kids enjoyed it too!

We come here every year we visit Tahoe. The views never cease to amaze us and this is certainly a must-see.

We were told to stop here and almost skipped it due to not being to find a parking space. However, we were able to squeeze in and were so glad we did! The views of Lake Tahoe were spectacular! Could have stayed there all day.

This is an excellent viewpoint of Emerald Bay and going there is totally worth driving out of your way. When we were there, a food van was selling drinks and ice creams at surprisingly sensible prices. A highlight of our time at Lake Tahoe.

Turn off on Rt 89 and that twisting winding road you are traveling. Spectaular views of Emerald Bay and the Lake.

My husband and I drove up to this scenic overlook when we first came into South Lake Tahoe. It is just a few miles up the road from the town but be aware that they are very high and curvy miles if that type of thing scares you. We were there on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and it was... More

Easy parking, easy walk and spectacular view of the Emerald Bay. There are also bathrooms here. So very glad we stopped here and got some great pictures.

If you don't mind the curvy road, high altitude, and crowds, then this stop is definitely worth it! Being Memorial Day weekend, we were pleasantly surprised to snagged a rare parking spot near the lookout...it was crazy and cars were parked everywhere! Parking officers were on site so careful not to get ticketed. The sweeping view of Emerald Bay below... More

You just pull off Hwy. 89 and get out of your car and walk up a few steps and see a remarkably beautiful view of Emerald Bay and Lake Tahoe. Do not not stop! The view is indeed inspirational.

Views were great - but there are lots of people, even in the off season. The bathrooms were fairly primitive but nice to have. It was about a 30minute drive up from South Tahoe.
