This center, at the "Y" in Tahoe City, has a very good assortment of both free literature and maps as well as books and maps for purchase. There is also a section of locally made goods, for purchase. The staff are friendly and helpful.

We stopped here to ask for a few ideas for our day trip. They were very helpful and offered ideas and good recommendations for dining and activities. The kids liked some of the books they had for sale and it was a clean place with restrooms.

Located near the intersection of highways 28 and 89, this visitor center offers area brochures, maps, souvenirs, and excellent advice about the businesses and attractions in the area. We were particularly interested in what hikes were available nearby. There were way too many to chose from without getting some good recommendations. We had asked hotel clerks, city park workers, restaurant... More

The ladies here gave great recommendations, from things to do with my 10 year old boy here in Tahoe, to restaurants for a cheap eat, to great dessert places. And they do this with a smile! We literally plan our visit based on their suggestions and they were spot on. The facility has many parking spots, a clean restroom, great... More

If you have a question about anything in Tahoe or surrounding area these Ladies know there stuff. Very helpful, we wanted to know about a certain trail. And they told us all about it. Unfortunately it was closed due to weather. But they said that it might be closed.

Parked right outside - it is a bit of a soulless place, but there is tons of information to take away and the service and advice was good.

We stopped in the center of town where Visitors Center is located right before intersection. It is right by the small bridge overlooking the crystal clear water that run from stream into lake. Great restaurants within walking distance of this stop. Helpful folks inside with clean bathroom. Local artisan items and clothing with Tahoe embroidered on it for sale at... More

We were happy to finally find this place and enjoyed their services. They had moved but the AAA book did not indicate the new address!

how dare you book cruises and then just cancel them. it's Summertime in Tahoe! first cruise was cancelled due to lack on people, next day was cancelled due to maintanence issues. Why not have the cruise EVERY OTHER DAY, so be assured of at least semi-full capacity. and again, it's Summertime in Tahoe. shouldn't the boats be well maintained for... More
