This place has TONS of brochures, maps, and info available for the entire region. The staff was very helpful and recommended several itineraries. But an added bonus was the $1 beer glasses...we bought a couple for souvenirs and thought they were a great deal. This is a great place to stop for help planning your trip in the region,

We lodged in Sutter Creek in Autumn of 2014 as our base for exploring Calif. Gold-Rush country. The city is the perfect hub for Gold-Rush Country and the Visitor Center is very helpful in answering questions about Sutter Creek's history, places/attractions to see, where to eat and lodge. Brochures and local maps are plentiful. Though, our lodging was already reserved,... More

The staff is very friendly and happy to share information about what the area has to offer. It's a great place to pick up pamphlets, newspapers, and magazines full of information about things to see and do.

Spent time reading all the history and seeing items and pictures from the gold rush days. Panned gold at one of the little places along the road - was even fun for the adults !

Visited the Sutter Creek Visitor Center in Sept 2014. The woman that I spoke to was so pleasant and helpful. AS we are planning to visit next year with our grandchildren, she recommended a number of attractions suitable for children.

If you are looking for an ice cream or a speciality store to browse stop here before 5 pm. If you are thinking of the gold rush visit Sutter's Mill.

On our trip around old country Sutters creak was one of our must do stops, we new very little about the area and as we are from the UK was unfamiliar with the lay of the land and what to see. Well after a stroll through the town we came accross the visitor centre, we went in with little expectation... More
