A focus on commuter trains and streetcars makes this a rather different and interesting place to visit. Good access to some amazing rolling stock, it is as if they had just come out of service 80 out 90 years ago. You can really feel what it would have been like you habe been a passenger. There's even a Blackpool Corporation... More

This museum is a bit out of the way but if anyone in your family is a train fan, you need to go. The museum building was beautiful but there really isn't anything to see inside (their Traction Lab exhibit wasn't working and no one seemed to know what to do to fix it). There is a very nice gift... More

The conductors were awesome! They really made the train ride something. There wasn't much scenery, but it was nice. My kids are 6y & 3y, but they still were not really into it.

Decided to make a detour on the way to San Francisco to visit the museum. Only cost $10 per adult and this includes a 10-mile round trip on one of the cars. Spend about 90mins there and made a nice break from my journey.

A little dusty and it was HOT that day. However, the boys loved the ride on the train and the information the "conductor" told the passengers about. All ages can enjoy this trip.

This is a small museum dedicated to inter urban rail travel. There are some great cars to look at, climb on, and explore. The old advertisements are very fun and interesting to look at. We were treated to a 40 minute ride on a restored trolley car through beautiful farmland and a really interesting up close view of a working... More

If you are a fan of railway cars you will love this place. They have all electric cars and a wide variety of them to check out.

We went here to escape the big game on TV. It was a good choice. The Museum is located on California Highway 12 half way between Rio Vista and Fairfield and next to a giant wind farm. Which is appropriate since all the trollies run on electricity. The Visitors Center contains the mandatory gift shop and a wonderful display about... More

This is a great hands on RR museum with excursion rides through the Jepsen Prairie. The ride is scenic and fun for kids

Took my grandchildren there and had a wonderful time. I also took them to the annual pumpkin patch last year and they didn't want to go home.
