My sisters and I stopped by Schug, due to it being recommended to us, and were in awe of the wines, the history and our "wine guide" Glenn. Glenn was fabulous! As we were walking in I was checking us in on FB to which Glenn noticed and stated that if we all did so we would get a free... More

My husband and I stopped here on a quest for a great pinot noir. We hit the jackpot for sure. The employee who helped us was very knowledgeable and we loved most of wines, we were torn as to what to buy. Ended up with their Estate Pinot Noir. Yummy. We were even able to get a quick tour of... More

I enjoyed this small vineyard. Their pinot is delicious and the staff are eager to share the love of these delicious wines. I'd avoid all big business vineyards out there and stick to cozy places like this to get the full experience.

Passed by while a break in a business trip to tast some californian vine. The staff was competent and very friendly. Choice of vines was very tasteful, and delivery even to Europe is offered.

Definitely a must visit! The grounds and views are beautiful! The tasting room is a bit on the small side, but the wine is worth it. We went on a Friday and the experience was well worth it. Tasting is waived with purchase and their wine is worth it! The sparkling Pinot Noir is delish! Glen was our guide in... More

We made this little place our first stop up to Sonoma Valley. It was a cute little welcoming spot. Friendly, not overly crowded and there wine was pretty good. They honored the 2 for 1 on-line tasting coupon. But the free self guided half mile walking tour was closed because they had some construction work going on on the property.... More

This was our first stop on our wine-tasting weekend and we had a nice, but not stellar time. As some of the other reviews have noted, the tasting room is extremely hectic and tough to navigate. It's not exactly a leisurely, educational experience but it's a pleasant enough time, and free! Plus the surrounding grounds are of course gorgeous. Say... More

We headed here on Memorial Day weekend and were treated to free wine tasting. First we tasted three wines, a Sauvignon Blanc, a Chardonnay and a Pinot, The final offering on the tasting for the day was from the reserve list. As an added bonus they took us in the back an gave us two more tastings! While we were... More

The tasting room is quaint and charming. The staff are very friendly, although did not provide us with much information about the wines. The wines are decent. Pinot Noir is fruitier than it is earthy - which was a pleasant surprise! Wish I could have sampled their sparkling Pinot Noir, but I probably won't return to Schug with dozens of... More
