We had a winery passport, so the tasting at Gundlach Bundshu was free. But that meant the staff didn't really care about us. They were engaged in conversations with the other patrons, and answered questions, but we didn't get much help. Most wineries have some information on the history, but we couldn't find any, so we wanted to ask questions.... More

This winery is well located, closed to downtown Sonoma. The area is fabulous and their wines are the best my sister and I tasted during our two weeks trip in California. The service is very good and you cannot leave without buying one of their bottle! Just learning how to pronounce the name of the winery Gun-Lock-Bun-Shoe render the experience... More

The day we went to Gundlach Bundschu it was raining! Everything was fresh and green around the winery and the mustard was in full bloom in the vineyards. We had been here before and really enjoyed the high quality of wines. We tasted 6 different wines and enjoyed them all. The Zinfadel was especially nice here and our server was... More

This winery has a 155 year history and was fun to locate along lovely old roads and by ways of Sonoma on a really beautiful piece of property. I was surprised to find it! Their wines are EXCELLENT and my favorites were the Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc. Perfect couple outing. Romantic, bring a picnic. There is a cave tour... More

Good wines, and unique wines for the area. Just a cool place to visit and lots of fun. I highly recommend it.

This place was GORGEOUS!!! The staff was very friendly and even though they didn't have any sweeter wines (which I perfect), the wines they did have were good! Great place to hang out and enjoy the scenery/wine!

Cave tour was excellent, comfortable small group, entertaining, experienced guide, lovely casual grounds, pretty picnic area - we learned GunBun is the oldest winery in Sonoma remaining in original family ownership --- Go!

I specifically put Gundlach Bundschu on our Sonoma itinerary because of the vineyard tour - I was looking for something more than just another wine tasting, and that is exactly what you get. There is a lot of history to this place and real "family-owned" pride. Our guide was Rob Bundschu, who took a group of us out in the... More

A visit to this long-time family-owned winery is a must. Their wines are some of the best and after my first tasting at the winery five years ago, I joined the Club. Twice a year I look forward to receiving shipments of delicious reds. Many of my friends have since visited and have joined the Club. Try a bottle of... More

Toured here with a group (about 20-30 people) and it was soooo fun! I'm not sure if it was because there was so many of us but we had the whole place to ourselves! I had previously been to Napa (the dark side lol) and it's just a very different vibe. Classic and informational but still with a twist! We... More
