First visited Gun Bun four years ago before we really appreciated some of their wines. We are now hooked on their Cab Reserve series. The artwork on each vintages bottles have a story all of their own. The wine of course was wonderful and the tour of the grounds never gets old. Great little gift shop and tasting room. Special... Attention. This is a rant: Saw a music / dance event on-line. Went to the website to purchase tickets. Okay, $35 for a local bar band with a DJ warm-up act seems a little steep. Click on the ticket sale. Oh, the price is $35 plus a $9 "resort fee", plus a $11.25 convenience fee. So a $35 ticket really... More

When in Napa I always enjoy a visit to Gundlach Bunschu. We have been wine club members for years. Always enjoy their wine selections. This is a wine you can put down for later years or enjoy now. Great cellar for tasting, parking no problem. Tours always fun. We like to drive and take home a case.

When you enter the Gundlach Bundschu grounds you enter another world. If the family or dogs are around they come greet you like you are stopping by for brunch at their home. The staff in the tasting room knows everything a out the winery and absolutely love the place. This is the oldest family owned winery in Sonoma so you... More

This is the oldest Winery in Sonoma. We had great service and a nice tasting. They have some very nice red wines that are fun to try.

Beautiful grounds, not crowded, fabulous wines, amazing staff - totally loved this experience! We went in not expecting much because of the recent reviews, and we were more than surprised! Our wonderful staff member gave us the full history, showed us old family photos from the winery, and gave us some extra "splashes" of wines which we liked. We didn't... More

We had looked forward to a tasting at Gun Bun for some time. When we got there (and to be fair it was a Saturday) but the place was absolutely packed, both inside and out. The servers were literally going from person to person and had no time to answer anything. Our server was trying her hardest. On top of... More

The tasting room was nice which took away from the rude staff member. She did not seem to want to answer our questions about the wine except how to pronounce the winery. Once she got the hint that we were going to purchase a couple of bottles, her attitude changed completely. The winery has a lot of picnic tables where... More

We spent three days tasting wines in Napa, Sonoma, and the Dry Creek Valley, and of 11 wineries tasted, this was our last favorite (by a pretty wide margin). The property has some nice vistas, but the tasting room itself felt a bit garage-ish. They were fairly busy during our visit--it was sort of a squeeze-yourself-in-at-the-counter kind of experience. Of... More
