Cornerstone Gardens is 3 miles outside of Sonoma and the gardens have been designed by many different landscape architects. Each one different from the other with so much variety that you can get many ideas to use at home. We tried tasting wines (4) at a shop there labeled Poseidon. The wines were delicious. Also had lunch in the café... More

You have to be open to conceptual art to appreciate some of the gardens that are featured here. But walking the grounds, you'll find beauty and food for thought. There's also a fine cafeteria on the property. We took a break in the middle of our tour to eat lunch outside. An altogether lovely afternoon.

Went here for lunch with a group of 9 on a Saturday. They don't take reservations, although the big table inside had a sign on it saying "Reserved", which threw us off. Didn't manage to get an outside table, but fortunately the group on the big table left so we took it. Ordered food and almost all had non-alcoholic drinks.... More

We were pleasantly surprised to find Cornerstone and enjoyed spending a few hours there. The gardens are majestic and so interesting. The shops are fun and eclectic. The shopkeepers are hospitable and warm. It is also a very dog-friendly environment. The restaurant has great food (we just had a quick snack), but the menu and food being served looked wonderful.... We stopped at Cornerstone we saw a tourist information sign and had no idea that there were such beautiful sculpture gardens on the property. Each garden is designed by a different landscape architect and each one is quirky and unique and whimsical. I loved them all. Best of all, you can wander through them with a glass of wine in... and this place will get even more popular when Sunset moves part of their operations here. In the meantime, it was more than entertaining to wander around the grounds. Fun for kids, also.

Stopped by here to spend some time at the shops and have lunch in the restaurants. The shops are all interesting with some very unique finds. No mass produced kitch in this place. The restaurant is a nice place to have lunch before/after shopping. Worth a few hours while visiting Sonoma.

We stopped at the Cornerstone with the idea of staying an hour and spent three hours there. The restaurant had great food, but a little pricey. The shops were unique and the grounds impressive

Stopped here on our way up to Sonoma just to check it out. Cornerstone is a nice collection of winery tasting rooms, restaurants, and gift shops right off the road into town. The reason to stop, though, is the sculpture/landscape gardens. Created like little outdoor rooms, each garden is themed and is created by high-caliber designers. Fascinating, fun and beautiful.

This is a popular stop outside Sonoma and deservedly so. Clever gardens are created by world class designers and offer a mixture of native and imaginative settings. The spaces are well kept up and offer ideas for anyone interested in incorporating some of their ideas into your own. The gardens are part of a development that includes related small shops,...
