We turned off Hwy 121 to stop at the tourist information office and found that extremely helpful. Much to our surprise it was a part of Cornerstone; a wine tasting, cafe, shops and botanical and sculpture garden. We spent a good hour and a half here wandering among the beautiful gardens all done by a different designer. They were unique... More

We come here to walk the grounds and to take pictures. There are only a couple high priced unfriendly shops that you are ignored when you walk in unless you look like you are going to drop plenty of $$. The one choice of food/deli looked good but we weren't here to eat. They also have a couple winery tasting... More

We were looking for a place to eat lunch after arriving in San Francisco on route to Sonoma. Had a light and tasty lunch and followed the suggestion of our waitress to stroll the gardens. What a pleasant surprise. It is quite a large space composed of several individually designed gardens. Each garden features a little bio of the designer(s),... More

The garden exhibits are so intriguing that we keep coming back and back bringing friends to enjoy the surprising experience. And it is FREE. Truly a WORLD CLASS facility. And the shops and cafes are great.

I was so excited to see the gardens that I drove 60 mIles out of my way to go there. The place was obviously feeling the effects of the drought, and perhaps the economy. While some of the landscape gardens were well-maintained, others were not in good shape. John Greenlee's Meadow was the best and largest garden, and the grasses... More

Me and my wife visited in September 2015. The gardens are made up of about 15 gardens (didn't count), created by different garden designers, some of whom have created gardens in major cities all over the world. We really enjoyed walking the gardens and were very impressed that we could do so for free. Also worth noting that the staff... More

Cornerstone Gardens is 3 miles outside of Sonoma and the gardens have been designed by many different landscape architects. Each one different from the other with so much variety that you can get many ideas to use at home. We tried tasting wines (4) at a shop there labeled Poseidon. The wines were delicious. Also had lunch in the café... More

You have to be open to conceptual art to appreciate some of the gardens that are featured here. But walking the grounds, you'll find beauty and food for thought. There's also a fine cafeteria on the property. We took a break in the middle of our tour to eat lunch outside. An altogether lovely afternoon.
