Ram's Gate Winery embodies the convergence of great wine, design and hospitality. Situated at the historic gateway to the Carneros region, Ram's Gate was created with the belief that in a world obsessed with making things faster, where speed is valued above all else, a delicious wine is the way to press pause - to savor and enjoy what we love most.

Amidst sweeping views of the surrounding vineyards, we offer a portfolio of estate and single vineyard wines made from the grapes of the region's marquee vineyards.

Don't miss these wines

This is a stunning winery but don't miss the opportunity to taste the wines that are perfectly paired with really fantastic small food plates.

Ram's Gate is visually stunning and provides awesome wines and food. Easily accessible from San Francisco. Great staff. A must visit.

Just a beautiful setting and a spectacular job with the decor and the design just fitting perfectly into the land, but the tasting seemed rather perfunctory, the quality of the wines just average and expensive given that. A pleasant way to taste some wine though...$40 for a flight of regular wines and $65 for more premium options. Nice experience, nice... More

We had planned to start our trip at Ram's Gate, since it was on our way to Napa from SFO, but a flight delay forced us to move the reservation to our last day. We had scheduled a picnic lunch on the way back to the airport and my husband and I agreed it was the perfect way to end... More

Greeted by a very friendly host, we had arrived without the recommended appointment. We were told we might have to wait 45 minutes. This was no problem as it meant we could sit and enjoy the views on the patio. In actual fact there was space much sooner so we both had a short tasting flight. A great atmosphere, friendly... More

Every bit of this place is exceptional! the architecture, the ambiance, the views, the furniture and the wine. We loved the savigon blanc the best of the wines. It was exceptional and refreshing on a 90 degree day. It's the first winery you come to on the way to Napa from San Fran via the 101...right across the road from... More

The wines and ambiance are superb, but at nearly $100 for a tasting and parings lunch, the prices are just stupid, But if people will pay it, go for it. We were really pleased with the ambiance of both the location and what they have done with the property. The seating ares are really nice and enjoyable to linger. The... More

After passing this winery for a few years, decided to stop and take family there as it was the first stop into Sonoma. Wow, wish I would have stopped here sooner. The view is awesome. They do prefer appointments but did have room for us without an appointment. They take you to a table to seat you, give you a... More

Bottom line...Very good but not great wines at great wine prices. The hilltop setting is beautiful. The rustic/contemporary tasting room building is spectacular. Service was flawless. But if you came for the wine, you won't find great values in their $70-$80 bottles. Too many better wines at this price and lower.

This is a winery definitely worth the visit! Absolutely gorgeous! It is relatively new and the most exciting addition to the Valley. Try to have lunch there as well. Particularly great if you are interested in interior design and architecture.
