Loved the authenticity of this spot. Linda, behind the counter, was a superb ambassador of the business and the products. The cheese itself is superb. Absolutely the best in Sonoma. Taste first anything that you're not familiar with, and walk away with the best picnic ingredient in the Valley!

Excellent selection of cheeses with free samples. We really love the Oro Seco. They also carry some deli meats and crackers. Picnic anyone?

This place may be a factory but you are really visiting a store where they offer you tastings. They are very nice and let you taste anything you want and the cheese is delicious and reasonably priced if you want to buy it. If you like cheese it is certainly worth a stop for 20 minutes. Located right near the... More

Heard about Vella cheese from a friend who lives in the area so we stopped by to check it out. We should have stopped here first before we went wine tasting as the cheeses are so delicious, we would have taken some with us to enjoy with our wine tastings. They were great about letting us sample and making suggestions.... More

Very much worth a quick stop to taste their cheeses[ sold at many local wineries] or stock up on provisions for a picnic. It is a pleasant and short walk from the downtown/square area. They will let you sample their wares before you buy.

A bit out of the way but well worth the search. The best Sonoma cheese by far for many, many years. Sharp Cheddar, my favorite. Jack on the wheel, and the dried Jack. Asiago with green peppercorns!

I love cheese! And this place was very nice. They only make cow's milk cheese, but the selection is great. The staff is friendly and they let you taste the cheeses before you buy them. Great value!

Wonderful cheeses, very good selection that you can try before you buy. I visited the store on a food walking tour it is on a side street a couple blocks from the plaza. Bring a cooler on hot days so you can keep your cheese fresh.
