I found Maggie's email responses to be curt, generally ignored my questions, and in no way friendly, so I booked with another place (that doesn't charge for gel seats incidentally). For example, I emailed that I couldn't find the departure point on their FAQs or website so she responded with the URL for their home page. And I have yet... More

We only had a few days before heading south to Monterey...Hubby is not a wine drinker but loves to bike...I love wine and also enjoy biking...decided to mix the two and take a self guided tour to the wineries....Tour include maps, lunch, water bottles, great bikes, helmets and pack bags for the bikes. The choice for lunches was really great..... More

We parked in the free parking lot near Sonoma Square and then walked to the bike store. We rented bikes for the day for $35 per bike. They provided a map and suggested some wineries along the way. Some of the biking is along roads that have more traffic than I would like, but most of the roads were biker... More

My husband and I planned a trip to Napa for a few days and were looking for wine tours to book. I came across Napa Valley Bike Tours by looking at suggested activities on our B&B's website. After doing research, we decided to book a bike tour through their sister company in Sonoma Valley. We felt this was a great... More

We were referred to Sonoma Valley Bike Tours by its sister company in Yountville (Napa Valley Bike Tours). The Napa location was already booked for several days. It was a blessing in disguise. The Sonoma location conveniently located near Sonoma Square was less busy and the best part was the abundance of back roads to leisurely ride all day. Instead... More

My husband and I wanted to do something a little different to visit some of the wineries so we signed up for the Cycling in the Vineyards Tour. We visited three wineries and stopped for lunch. The price included the bike and helmet rentals, lunch and transportation to/from the bike shop to/from the vineyards; it did not include any tasting... More

to spend in the wine country, Sonoma Valley Bike Tours is great way to spend the day. We drove out Friday morning from San Francisco in a Zip car and arrived in Sonoma (with a stop at the Golden Gate Bridge scenic outlook) a little over an hour and a half later. The tour didn't start until 10 so we... More

The folks at Sonoma Bike tours are very friendly and know quite a bit about the wineries we visited. The ride itself was a little disappointing; I was expecting to use bike trails (I thought they existed in Sonoma) but instead we were often on side roads. There was very little traffic and the ride itself was rather relaxing. That... More

It was so overwhelming trying to pick wineries to visit that my husband and I finally decided we needed a tour. We liked the idea of getting a little exercise on vacation (which can be a challenge) so we decided a bike tour was just the thing. We chose the all day Classic Sonoma Valley tour option. I can't say... More

We went on the "biking through the vineyards" tour....and probably should have saved $ and just done the wineries tour. The biking was on service roads through a vineyard and neighboring nature area. So the trail/road was rutted, dusty and bumpy. The vineyards were interesting but the "nature area" was pretty mediocre. Our guide was fine but a little self... More
