Really picturesque with lots of historical interest. Plenty of quaint shops and eating places. Again, part of a tour, but really pleased we stopped here. Great place. Definitely worth stopping by if you get the chance.

Quant square to walk around for a hour or two. Historic places to visits, nice shops, and plenty of places to eat to grab a treat. It's really worth a visit if you are in Sonoma.
I enjoyed staying just a couple minutes walk away from the Plaza for several days. I could easily walk to the bakery, get a cafe, glass of wine, full meal, or find some nice (if a little pricey) boutiques. Great variety.
The square itself -- the green part -- is well-used and friendly and large. Great atmosphere, surrounded by many interesting little shops and restaurants (so glad not to have too many chains).

Great shopping and great restaurants. Location is right smack in the middle of the east and west parts of wine country.
There are 16 tasting rooms within walking distance of the square. We stayed a block away at An Inn to Remember and didn't have to worry about driving. Great restaurants, cool historical buildings, you could spend several days here.
Robert is a true delight and the syrah were superb! Live music and your own instruments at each table for celebrating the evening too!
We tried to go shopping in downtown Napa, but it is pretty deserted. When we found Sonoma, we were thrilled. So many cute shops and tasting rooms. What fun!
