I was really looking forward to visiting this vinery as I'm a fan of californian wines and zinfandel in particular. We did the tour and got some nice insights into their production as well as tasting some great wine. We bought a couple of bottles of wine, and if we could fit more in our suitcases, we would have bought... More

The wine was very tasty and the views were gorgeous for our group of 12 wine tasting. Thank you to everyone there for your patience when we all bombarded you in the lobby with our many wine orders!

My wife and I rented bikes while in Sonoma and rode to a few nearby wineries. Despite being on bikes and from Canada (translates to can't carry or buy much wine) we were warmly greeted and served a nice flight of Ravenswood wines. The tasting room has a lovely view over the vineyards and has a beautiful patio which would... More

Started the day with Ravens Wood, what a great start. So personal and up close. Love that they take you into the vineyards and talk about the grapes, vines, winds, so interesting. I think it's an awesome experienced,

We loved Ravenswood! My husband and I shared the wines, and because of that we ended up trying 13 different wines, all which are not available retail. They were all good - all of them. Zinfandels are their specialty, and they were pretty terrific. The big surprise was a very affordable $18.50 Merlot, which was the best Merlot of our... More

We spent just an hour or so on the patio which is elevated from the parking area and provides great views of rolling hills. Each of the four of us tried a different glass of wine. My Congresso (white) was a lovely chardonnay. The others were various reds...all good. The staff was pleasant and overall Ravenswood has a very laid-back... More

Being one of my favourite zinfandels i was not going to miss the chance of visiting the source and doing some wine tasting and the tour. We strolled around the vineyards learning about the different birds and insects which are needed to keep the pests away. We brought to bottles of wine both are only sold on site.

I found that the person who was administering our tasting was a little cocky and rude. We had a complimentary tasting pass from our B&B but it was almost like he was trying to dissuade us from tasting by first telling us that tastings are $18 for 5, then acting a little rude when we produced the pass. Overall the... More

We have enjoyed tasting at their tasting room. We also very much like their cabernet sauvignon wine. We have purchased some wine. Relatives also like the wine and we have had very nice dinners paired with Ravenswood Winery wines at their home. As such, its a very good winery to go to as its one to enjoy when visiting, but... I truly enjoyed this wine tasting/tour as it gave our group the opportunity to not only try great wines, but learn about the process. We also had the opportunity to walk through a couple of the vineyards which doesn't happen at many places. Our tour guide was personable and extremely knowledgeable in the process of wine making which made the... More
