Viansa makes some beautiful distinctive wines, all from Italian grapes.  We are used to hearing about Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes in Napa, but what Viansa grows have names like Arneis, Barbera, Nebbiolo, Sangiovese, and Vernaccia….different grapes that create different flavors. YUM! YUM! We enjoyed this tasting on the lovely hilltop veranda, overlooking the wetlands, munching on a turkey panini, fresh... More

3 of us stopped by for some gourmet sandwiches, very good wines and great views. We were not disappointed. You just can't beat sitting out on the patio on a beautiful day, enjoying everything about the experience. If you are a pilot, which all 3 of us are, there is small airport in the valley below where you can watch... More

The winery itself is not expansive, but it is well curated and the grounds are very nice. The main building for visitors is perched up on a hill, so there is also a nice view of the rolling vineyards and surrounding Sonoma valleys, making it a nice place to have some wine while taking in a view. Overall, good wine,... More

This is our fourth trip to Sonoma county and we decided to visit wineries we missed in the past. The grounds of Viansa are breath-taking. The architecture is magnificent in an old-world way. No wonder why this is a popular wedding site. The wines match the view from the Tasting Room terrace. Carlos, our host, provided us with a wide... More

Viansa is one of the first wineries that travelers to Sonoma Wine Country will encounter and it's views of the surrounding hills, valley, and marshlands are world class. The walk up to the tasting room through vineyards and Tuscan inspired architecture, all the way to the elaborate patio with outdoor seating, open space, and the aforementioned view is enough to... Beautiful views and property. Great wines, though pricey and since we were on bikes we didn't buy any. Good lunch. Absolutely amazing views. Of the wineries we visited this stands out as the most beautiful.

The Viansa winery sort of sneaks up on you so if you're not watching, you may actually drive by it. My first thought is that since it is on the way north to Sonoma that it probably is more touristy and must not be as good as it is on the outskirts. At my son's suggestion (he used to be... More

Stay a couple hours, but be forewarned , the vineyards and tasting rooms are cheaper in Sonoma, but usually more crowded. We went early one weekday, and had to wait for a tasting. It was comped thankfully. Enjoyed their wine selections but felt hurried, and didn't purchase. They had a very nice selection of meats, cheeses and such for lunch... More

I loved Kelly, our host. The selection of wines was more than I expected, and they even have a deli if you're looking for a light lunch.
