This is a pretty winery. You may not like all their wines but they have some really good ones.

We had a wonderful day in Sonoma as a whole - but this was definitely the worst by far.
A tall lady with diamante glasses was doing our tasting for us, and basically spent the whole of the short 15 minute tasting pushing the wine club. When we declined several times, she literally said "well, that'll be $30 then" with...

When picking wineries to visit in Sonoma or Napa, the wine is subjective. One person might love their wine and another hate it. So what do you have left to decide whether you'll add it to your list? I visited Buena Vista twice in a four month span. Both experiences would tell me to have you add it to your...

It was a pretty drive in to the winery and situated in a canyon, so felt different than other wineries. The lady that did our tasting was overly pushy with the wine club, which was annoying. Felt obvious that there was a commission or quota she was trying to meet. Wines were just okay.

Visited this winery, with lots of history behind it, to find they now only sell through their wine club. Millie, the real estate broker/wine room hostess, tried to give us the hard sell for the wine club. We were underwhelmed by the wines and completely turned off by the sales pitch. If you want wine worth joining a wine club,...

Our group of 10 visited Buena Vista during a bike tour of Sonoma wineries. The grounds were beautiful and we had a wonderful picnic, however our tasting experience was definitely lacking. The tasting room was crowded and the staff seemed almost bored. Compared to the other wineries we visited, we received less information about the wines and a less engaging...

I believe this is the oldest winery in California and it has some of the most spectacular grounds. We have visited number of times over the years and were largely unimpressed by their wine until recently. The wine they were pouring in the tasting room (Pinot Noir(s) and Merlot) were pretty awesome and when combined with the historic setting and...

This was the first winery we visited as I spent a day cycling around the town with 3 friends. We know nothing about wine or tasting so we approached the tasting bar expecting a bit of direction. When we paid $10 (slightly more expensive than other vineyards in the area) the old lady serving us simply poured out the tasters...

On Ravenswood's recommendation and with our two-for-one coupon in hand we headed to The Buena Vista Winery (www.buenavistawinery.com), one of the oldest wineries in Sonoma established in 1857. It's located down Old Winery Road which is fun in itself with a stream, big old red wood trees and some random picture opts along the way. Although the winery was lovely,...
