Cute Horses

The miniature horses are really cute and guests are free to wander around. We got to pet a couple near the fence but they are all able to walk away if they want less attention. I... read more

My daughter loves ponies so we figured we should check the place out. Great to know they were opened during New Year's day so off we went. Place was almost deserted. There were a few minis grazing around and my daughter and I took several pictures. We noticed that the ponies look sad (that's how my daughter described them). There... More

I wish there had been a few information signs about the horses though since we didn't see anyone to answer questions. Don't forget to put... More

The Quicksilver Ranch is open to the public but there are no organized activities or displays. You can drive onto the ranch and view the miniature horses in the pastures behind fences. Viewing only, no feeding or riding. Worth a stop if you believe miniature horses are "cute".

Make a quick stop here, it's free. What can be cutter than mini horses? Then get on with your way to wine taste.

It is free to go into the ranch which is great. However, there was nobody around to provide direction or information on the horses. There was a building that looked like you would go in for information but it was locked. There were no hours on the door to state whether or not there were tours. We were there on... More

This is a quick stop off on the back roads of Solvang. This is truly free entertainment which is nice for a family on a budget vacation. There really is not much to do other than look at the mini horses from the gate, however, the horses are pretty curious and friendly and do get close. Make sure to bring... More

Nice drive to the Quicksilver Ranch, but I didn't actually go in. Great for kids to see the miniature horses.

We arrived about 20 minutes before the ranch opened and were greeted by these adorable miniature horses through the fence facing the roadside. They are very friendly and would walk up right to the fence, and a couple of them would even walk with you along the fence. It is absolutely amazing to watch my 14-month-old son interact with such...
