Nestled amid the vines at Coopersmith vineyard, tastings educate visitors about Merry's handcrafted Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc. Experience wines produced with a genuine sense of place using site-specific viticulture and gentle, traditional winemaking practices. Merry and her husband, Ken, invite you to join them at their estate winery. Please call to schedule a private tasting, however if you don't have time for an appointment we welcome you to come in from 9:30AM - 4:30PM for a more casual tasting. Parties of 8 or more, limos and buses are accepted by prior arrangement only. (Please note, our winery is patrolled by cats. No canines, please -- assistance dogs are exempt. Thank you for your understanding.)

The tasting experience was wonderful. It was done in a private room. You get the attention of your 'wine educator'. We didn't feel any pressure to purchase any of the wines. She poured more as we were debating a couple. The winery is beautiful and the wines are delicious.

Merry Edwards is one of the premier winemakers in California and one of the first female winemakers. Her tasting room is a bit of a step back in style to a different time. Tasting is done in a small group in a separate room around a table and the "wine educator" carefully explains each wine and what to expect. Her... More

Make an appointment for a private tasting. There is so much more to learn and appreciate with true tasting room hospitality. Thank you, Brown! Merry, you just keep making fantastic vintages. We love your work.

We didn't have an appointment, but there was no waiting at the time we arrived. We were escorted to a small room and the doors were shut. It was the most private wine tasting I've ever done. Merry Edwards wine tasting experience was at a bar in a private room. After describing Merry's educational history at UC Davis and her... More

I went to Merry Edwards to taste their Pinor Noirs and the experience and the tasting was very well done. You should call in advance and make a tasting reservation if you have a few people with you. Excellent service and great wines!

We had a nice tasting experience here Wines were pretty good. The only negative I must say us is that our host did not stop talking about 'Merry' in every sentence- we kind of lost interest after a while. It's nice to hear stories about the winemaker but sometimes you just have to let the wine speak for itself.

Not only are the wines at Merry Edwards beautifully made, but you will get a wonderful education on winemaking when you visit the winery. The staff are friendly and very approachable whether you just walk-in or arrange a private tasting (both are free of charge).

Merry Edwards is the Queen of Pinot Noir. None finer, anywhere. We strongly prefer New Zealand Sauvignon Blancs, but Merry Edwards changed our preference. Great wine, great staff, fantastic experience?

A complimentary wine tasting is almost unheard of these days. A complimentary "private" tasting of top quality wines is most certainly a rarity. But that is what you will find at Merry Edwards along with an exceptional staff. The wine is not cheap, or even affordable for most, but the quality is undeniable and the experience is certainly memorable. Highly... More
