This small attraction is so low key that you could have easily walk pass from a distance if you are not aware of it. The man is so focused on it that you are afraid that a whisper might topple the rocks. He is sitting by the water and there is no signage nor loud music to draw your attention.... More

I have seen him many times. Have overheard passers by comment "oh there has to be a rod through the rocks". You need to see it for yourself. It is truly an art, rock balancing.

If you are in Sausalito you will see him. Should stop there to see his perfomance otherwise you will not believe people can do that. Lots of people doubt they were glued or had some tricks inside before they see this in real.

Not an attraction but just a stop by as you are wandering the streets of Sausalito. More interesting than many of the shops! It is amazing what this man does with rocks. Nice place to slow down and enjoy the scenery. Saw him featured on some tv show....

This was like seeing a street performer, except you are strolling along the waterfront of Sausalito with beautiful views of San Francisco. Pretty cool.

We wondered what the crowd was gathered for and saw this chap balancing rocks on top of each other - all different sizes with large on top of small. Simple idea, and free to watch, but a great way to while away 15mins watching this talented guy

We came across this and my girls were just mesmerized. He was stacking them right in front of us. We left a tip and he called my girls over and asked them if they would like to learn. He spent a good 10 min with them explaining how to balance them and having them build their own. What a great... More

We came across it as we were walking around and stood staring at it for a while wondering how it was done. It was a nice surprise to come across but I am not sure if I would have gone looking for it. But then everyone has a different interest. But now I can vouch that the photographs aren't photoshopped... More

We've seen this a few times on our visits to the bay area, and we're always amazed. You can't believe that the rocks are not glued together in some way until you actually watch Bill do his magic. You watch for 1 min, 15 min., or longer, it's up to you. The view of San Francisco in the background isn't... More
