We visited Bacchus and Venus on our Bridgeway stroll. They have some interesting wine-related items for sale but we went a cheaper route and picked up a couple of excellent bottles of $10 wine. The owner also provided crackers and cheese for our own, private wine tasting.

I stopped by Bacchus and Venus one afternoon to enjoy some relaxed tasting with what I discovered to be some highly educated wine experts, one with fantastic stories about his wine family having been growing and selling grapes to a well-known vintner since the 1950's. I was charmed by the experience, the fantastic variety of wines and the location......Until I... More

We ALWAYS go to Bacchus and Venus when we go to Sausalito. This isn't just a wine bar; this is a wine experience. The opportunity to try flights of unusual quality California wines sets Bacchus and Venus apart for any other "bars" in the area. Kelly, Alex and Doug make this a fun and tasty learning experience without any stuffiness.... More

We visited here to try the wine tasting experience which was free as it was included in our San Francisco GO Cards. We found the selection of 4 wines that we got to try great and overall it was a nice experience. No trip to California is complete without a wine tasting experience and we thoroughly enjoyed this one.

Had two servers one of them was very unpleasant, rude and not very informative. The second girl was very nice, professional and knowledgable. Sorry get any of there names. The pleasant one was very young. Possible in college. Paid $10 for tasting. My favorite was the butternut wine. Nice little wine bar.

Paid $20.00 each for their superior sampling. Way overpriced, these were the smallest pours that we have ever received, and we've tasted wine all over North America and Europe. The cheese board, crackers and cranberries were a good size, but that was priced at $15.00, not $5.00 as another reviewer described. I guess they have raised their prices - substantially!... More

for ten dollars, you have the choice of four glasses two red , two white, for five dollars more, you get a huge board of cheese crackers and cranberries, downside i couldn`t have wine sent home to england.

We loved this little shop. Our attendant was knowledgable and obviously loved the wines as she was over served. We would go back!

Marci was very helpful in our wine tasting event. During a very busy season to get shipments out for the holiday, she multi tasked nicely, never making us feel we weren't important. She made great recommendations(lunch at Le garage) had great knowledge of napa area(we were touring the next day). We purchased a few things and she was great about... More
