What a nice little place this is to visit and just stroll around. We took a bus there, but there is a regular ferry that goes from somewhere around Pier 39. Apparently, Sausalito was voted the 6th cutest town in the USA, but I have no idea by whom. Maybe by thee guy that told me? Nice place for a... More

What a great tranquil area. I enjoyed the Holiday Shop (great San Francisco trinkets) and I thoroughly loved my wine tasting experience at Bacchus and Venus (great blend – yummy). The marina docks were beautiful, the view was awesome and the walk ways were super friendly… .. JUST be mindful of the cyclists! They DOMINANT the streets! Nice but not... More

So many little shops and eateries to partake in while sitting on the rocks watching the waves. The hop on/hop off buses very conveniently will get you there and back into the city. A house on the hill costs $15m and the bottom of the hill is $5m. A very upscale area but also very 'down to earth.'

We stopped in Sausalito on our way from San Francisco to spend a few days in the Napa Valley and we are so glad we did. The town has a cool and friendly vibe to it. My wife and I enjoyed shopping in the stores along the main street, with the Bay in the background. The real highlight was lunch... More

I had only two days to visit SF and I must say, this day turned out to be perfert! After a tour of Muir Woods, we had the option of going back by ferry. Do consider this option if you are short on time. It is your chance to take awesome pictures of Sausalito, the Golden Gate, Alcatraz, The City... More

This place certainly is a must see! Its a 20 minutes ferryride but with a wonderful view on the GG Bridge and on Sausalito with his very special houses hanging into the hills. This place is more then a day trip worth, nice little stores good restaurants and a walk along the shore is here very amazing; if there is a... More

We visited Sausalito after a tour of Muir Woods. We walked up and down the sea front and then walked in the town itself which is-a lovely sleepy place. We called into a shop and had a chat with the store owner . A very friendly place to have lunch.

We ferried over, quite beautiful and arrived on Sausolito. We basically began to walk to get a taste of the place and found it to be just so so lito. A nice ferry ride but we must have missed what the big Hoohah is about. Maybe we missed something?

It was our second time to visit Sausalito and still we enjoyed the beautiful bay. The buildings are very nice and it seems you are in a different country. Even though it is a small place, but so many things to enjoy.

We walked and ate and soaked up the scenery. Alcatraz, San Fran, Boats, Houseboats, houses on the hills. A great day!! Loved it.
