If you’re in San Francisco, please make time to go here. Really beautiful place & very different to the touristy areas along San Fran’s Waterfront. Very laid back with plenty of eateries / bars / cafés. This was our second visit to SF & glad we made the effort to see Sausalito. The place is easy to get to either... More

Many ways to get to Sausalito, cruise over on a ferry boat from San Francisco, drive, or the way we went. We took the tour of Muir Woods and the bus stopped at Sausalito on the way back. This was the tour Aaron Taylor was the tour guide .If you read my review on Muir Woods you will know how... More

When visiting Sausalito make sure you park in the parking lot(metered parking) behind Viña Del Mar Park, which you'll reach at the end of Anchor St. This location will set you at the center of downtown Sausalito. From here I recommend you head south on Bridgeway St. The best hillside views of Sausalito can be seen from Yee Tock Chee... More

We got the ferry from San Francisco to Sausalito for a day out!! I say day out, we managed 2 hours!! On arrival the town looked very nice, when we started to walk round we found nothing of interest, the shops left a lot to be desired. I suppose if you were looking for overpriced rubbish then this is the... More

We only stopped at Sausalito on our way to and from Muir woods. However, situated at the end of the Golden Gate Bridge with a beautiful bay, a ferry terminal and marina and flying boat and helicopter trips, it is a great place to see. The shopping is interesting and the food is good.

Sausalito its a lovely place to walk around and enjoy the bay area view. You have a lot of shops and restaurants to stroll over and enjoy but the best thing by far is to enjoy the environment and atmosphere around this little bay area town. Is not far away from the Golden Gate and is quite easy to reach... More

Loved this place first time i visited. I visited this twice in my short visit in SFO. I would recommend taking a ferry from the pier this place. I loved the first visit when the weather was cool and cloudy. The second visit was quite sunny (hot) and didn't enjoy it much. Amazing array of food joints and shopping centers... More

We stopped in this cute town a few times on our trip to the San Francisco area. It is a charming small town on the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco. There are numerous restaurants. Plus many boutique shops. A cute picturesque town. Allow a few hours to browse the shops & eat.

We visited Sausalito while we were in San Francisco. If I would have known I would have stayed here. It is a great place that is really clean. There are some great places to eat and the people were great.

Have been to many beachside and coastal areas in this world but this is certainly not the best. Its pretty commercialised and its definitely catered for tourists. The prices of food around this area are pretty high too, if you are after good quality kind of travelling then this is the place but if you are a backpacker travelling around... More
